Surprising ingredient!
Great quality product, hard to find. Makes a super risotto, be sure to mix a little barley for more texture. Needs a bit of cooking to soften the husks. Lovely added to soups & stews as well as when making a whole grain pot.

Great Breakfast or Healthy Pud
These are lovely cooked in a slow cooker with water. I sometimes cook them with peanut butter (I know it sounds yukky but it works). They are also good cooked with nuts, raisins etc or served with apple puree and yogurt for a pudding. They are healthier than normal oats and have a lovely slightly nutty flavour and a soft, chewy texture. I make a batch and freeze it in portions.
