Wholesale Chess Staunton Colored Chess Pieces (Army Green)

These green chess pieces look green. Real excited about the unique shade of green these have. My friends are green with envy.

The pieces are slightly darker than pictured. My set is also covered in scratches. Disappointed.

I bought these to match a green and grey chess board I own. The pieces came with an extra queen, which is great. But I was really disappointed with how light they are. They are lighter than the other sets of plastic chess pieces I've been using for several years. And unfortunately, the green colored ones are not available in Triple Weighted format here on Amazon. Some of the other sets are (like Navy Blue), but not green. So, with the light weight, it is easy to knock the pieces over.

I ordered these in every color available. While the price is very good, and while the size and weight of the pieces are just fine, the majority of my chess pieces arrived extremely damaged. They are scuffed and scratched, and naturally these scuff marks and scratches look worse on some colors than others. For the price they cannot be beat. But I have purchased cheap dollar-store chess sets with better looking pieces than these--they look horrible! To make it worse, I wrote customer service with my concerns about the poor quality, and nobody ever got back to me.If you just HAVE to have colorful chess pieces then these might be your only option--just know that customer service is less than stellar. If you can purchase from someone other than Wholesale Chess, however, do just that! If their customer service had been better, the imperfections in the pieces wouldn't have left such a bad taste in my mouth. Buyer beware!
