Dell Precision 7520 15.6 FHD, Core i7 6820HQ 2.7GHz, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro 64Bit, CAM (Renewed)

I work in IT for a living, so I work with Dell's every day. I have this model at work right now, just newer. These are workhorses, and I got tired of the HP laptops dying every 3 years or so. I had a precision at work that I used for testing for 14 years, and ONLY had to retire it because it could no longer be upgraded. It worked fine otherwise. I do not play games, so it is mostly for email and web surfing, and occasional slicing for my 3D printers. It performs well for this. For the price, and the quality, it can't be beat!

Nice computer but condition was not was was described. All USB ports worn out and filthy. The screen might be new, the keyboard skin is probably new, all for appearance. Turn it over and see the true wear. Very used, input interfaces worn out and very dirty, also described as having a backlit keyboard, I zoomed in to see if it was present in the displayed image, yes, it's there. I ask Rufus, backlit keyboard? Yep, it's there. I get it, NO BACKLIT keyboard. NO BUENO. I'm not just being picky. I need a backlit keyboard. It's why I ordered it. Performance seems good, condition is not good, fair at best and listed as excellent. Misrepresented.

The laptop arrived and appeared new even though it was 6 years old. The processor specs were lower (2.7 GHz) than advertised (3.1 GHz) but had better graphics than advertised so that was basically a wash. Pushed the unit hard for the first 10 days running memory intensive tasks and installing software, updates, Dell firmware, etc. Also ran the video fairly intensely streaming local news stations constantly. Every thing ran fast and smoothly. Did some rudimentary tests using the built-in camera as this is not important to me and they were fine. Then ran the unit unplugged for 3 hrs on battery keeping it busy the entire time and after the 3 hr mark still had 51% battery level. Dell advertised 5.5 hrs on battery so this was right on. I also like that this laptop (Dell Precision) is solidly built (5.5 lbs) and made for intense processor/disc I/O.All in all very pleased with the unit so far with no problems.

Received OK, packed with double box and without pack damage. The cleanup seems ok, but a unpleasant aroma (like floor cleaning solution or so) and with an oily feel (this disappeared after a couple of days). The unit is OK seems in good condition (no major scratches or bumps), and tested to work ok. In an ideal test battery performance is according to the 3 years of use, with a light use battery time of 3 1/2 hours as battery was depleting very fast below 30%, inspecting it may have some inflation but nothing serious. One thing I've reported is that one of the fans have some strange rattle when no horizontal, where seems to be some debris or something (food) that fan can being ingested as battery compartment was dirty and with some "foodish debris". Finger sensor seems damaged or not operational.Overall seems good investment for now despite of having to think on a new battery and considering that this will not run Win11. Will update on need.For me this is a GO.

I believe strongly n God, and this computer was more than I expected. I found out that this computer is a Dell workstation, which means that it is heavy for a laptop. People are wrong when they want a slim laptop. What I want is a workhorse. I use it for writing papers, and these are important papers. I also have a website, Rayhsc.com, and I work on that, updating things. I love this computer, it is a blessing to me. I have poor eyesight, and the keyboard lights up, so it helps me. I purchased this item for over $300 less than a year ago. Within that time I have had this Dell with a local at least 4 times. The first time The battery had to be replaced within the 1st six months of receiving this item. Then the screen kept flickering finally to go out completely where I was unable to use my system with all of my files on it. I am very disappointed in this purchase. I did not get a full use out of this item.This Dell was more in a Tech’s shop than I have been able to use. I have had to use an exterior hard drive to pull off of the Dell and have to invest in another laptop. I am very, very disappointed in this purchase. I would like a credit or a replacement. I have not been able to log into my account for several months due to the change of a new phone number. Finally searching on Google Search I got a customer service number and was walked through how to submit my personal info and was given a clearance within 24-36hrs. The representative I spoke with was very professional, and very patient with me uploading my Identification. Out of this whole ordeal that was the most pleasant part. I am not sure if anything can be done but I ave made purchases over the years and also have a business account I use with Amazon. Expertly packaged as good or better than OEM packaging. Cosmetically like new and I cannot tell is has ever been used. Not a single scratch anywhere. Keyboard clean and no sign of wear. Runs quietly. No dust visible on fan. Start up was easy and no issues. Came with OEM power supply. I would purchase again.
