Stringjoy BB1152 Handmade Bright Brass Acoustic Guitar Strings, (Super Light Gauge - 11-52)

I bought an FS830 Yamaha acoustic guitar early in 2019. It had an incredibly rich, deep sound with excellent lows, highs and mid-range sounds. Then I changed the strings after a few months and the guitar completely lost its depth of sound, leaving a weak sounding guitar (many members on the Acoustic Guitar Forum confirm this same experience). "I tried every imaginable brand and size of strings and I could still not replicate the original sound, until now with the STRINGJOY Bright Brass Acoustic Strings!"Here is the reason why: By doing extensive research I discovered that the Yamaha factory installs "Brass Strings" on Yamaha Acoustic Guitars,but they do not sell these Brass strings in the USA.No one sells Brass Strings in the USA (with but a few inferior exceptions). When I discovered STRINGJOY Bright Brass Acoustic Strings on Amazon I immediately ordered them, got them quickly and installed them today."Wow! My great sounding Yamaha is back! I not only got back my depth of sound back with excellent Lows, Mids, and Highs, but the overall sound quality and volume is actually better."(Note: When I get some time on these strings I will be able to update this review and evaluate Longevity.) Even though these strings sound good, they are way overpriced. I did hear harmonics in these strings that I haven't heard in other strings. It does have an immediate break in period that I like, and are in tune. These strings also lack a little depth. I had to change these strings 3 wks later because of the very discordant and annoying loud ping in the G and A strings which never had happened in the much lesser priced strings that I've used. Back to J Pearse et als. Also, the low E was difficult to install, which never happens.

I put these on my Taylor T5 and they sound beautiful! Clear, clean, bright, easy to play. As easy as Erniey-Ball silk ‘n Steel.

I just put these strings on my Alvarez Yairi, a guitar that just celebrated it’s 42d birthday. The years have been kind to this guitar as the tone has gone from subdued to amazingly mellow. Now with the new stringjoy strings it has definitely added some zip, as well as a brightness that, among my other guitars, was only achieved on my Taylor 214CE. To say I am pleased would be to understate my reaction. Perhaps in the future I may even buy a set for my Taylor.

These are quality guitar strings. I have been playing a guitar for 60 years, and I would say these are the best strings I have used for improving the sound quality of the guitar. Well worth the money. I will be buying more.
