Works awesome
A really great product that works very well. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the cutting blade. I don't mind paying more because this product works so well, just include the blade and save me from having to order it from someone. Bottom line is I'm really happy I have this tool, it is very valuable

Time saver!
I recently used the Hand Masker for a basement painting project, and it was a game-changer! The tool made masking my basement walls much quicker and more efficient. It’s easy to use and helped me apply the tape and plastic sheeting in one seamless motion, saving me tons of time compared to the traditional method of doing everything by hand. The quality of the masking was precise, and the large coverage area meant fewer touch-ups afterward. If you’re tackling a big painting job or renovation project, I highly recommend the Hand Masker—it really takes the hassle out of prepping!

I'm not sure there's another option out there
Good master. Good quality, holds up well. But expensive! Good gravy. I guess they can charge whatever they want because there's really not that many other options out there. Not that I'm aware of. But it does the job. We do cabinets and remodels and are always finding needs for this thing.

Doesn’t come with blade
Great tool but why would you sell this without the bar that cuts the paper/plastic

I’m working on the tedious task of painting the oak trim in my house
This masker makes life SO much easier! I’m working on the tedious task of painting the oak trim in my house, white. It’s going to be a long process :) taping and prep work are the least exciting parts of any job, so anything that can help make that go faster and smoother is a winner in my book. I bought this masker after seeing it on a youtube video and I can’t believe how much easier it has made my life! I use a masking tape and brown roller paper to run along my floors, just below my floorboard trim. This protects my floors for about 9 inches from the wall out, which is plenty to protect them while painting trim. I don’t need to run a full drop cloth across the floor, and having my protective surface taped down keeps it from sliding away from where I need it most.I also purchased some of the folding plastic film for panting window trim. For that I use blue painters tape along with the plastic and tape off the top of the window, just at the trim. (I have vinyl windows, so I don’t need to paint the window frames themselves.) From there, I can fold down the plastic, tape the sides of the plastic to the sides of the frame and tape the bottom of the plastic along the bottom of the frame. Then, my whole window and frame are safe from paint. You CAN buy film and paper that come pre-taped and you can roll it out buy hand, but it is expensive and this is SO. MUCH. EASIER. Seriously. It goes smoothly, and quickly. I don’t have to fight with masking tape rolling, folding or tearing on my. I don’t accidentally stick the tape to the loose plastic or paper. My cuts are always nice and straight and even. It goes SO quickly! I can have the floors of an entire room taped and protected in 5 minutes or less.Psychologically, it seems hard to justify buying a tool for something that really, you CAN do on your own, but if you’re going to be doing several projects or a large, time consuming project like painting trim, the money this costs more than make up for the time it saves. We have a whole house worth of trim to paint, and the next project will be the walls. I am getting PLENTY of use out of this. Additionally, I can bring it to friends and family’s homes to help them mask their painting projects, they generally pay for their own tape, paper, plastic etc. I feel that I have already more than gotten my money’s worth for this. Also, don’t forget to buy the blade, it doesn’t come with one, unfortunately. Save yourself some money and just buy the sharp, plastic blade, and skip the “paper” blade. You can cut the paper with the plastic blade just fine, but you can’t cut the plastic with the paper blade. There’s no reason to buy both and try to change them all the time.

Wasted Potential (and $)
This product would in theory be helpful and the videos do make it seem like it’s easy and smooth to operate, however, once loaded properly (according to the directions and multiple YouTube videos) the actual tearing mechanism works horribly. We could get a clean tear any time we tried this over multiple days and we ended up wasting a lot of the plastic as a result. I think the blade location (how far out it protrudes but also maybe the precise location it exists should be adjusted to make for a smoother tear that occurs with less effort. Again, people in videos all have a very strong but smooth tear motion but any time we tried to make a cut without having my fingers and inch away from the blade to force the cut, the plastic didn’t catch the blade and it really just created a mess. I gave this device too many chances and even offered it to the finish painters (after we finished priming) and they didn’t even want to bother with it and now I’m outside of the return window. IMO - Save time, money, and additional headache (because let’s be real, whether you’re painting one room or thousands of sq feet it is stressful and takes a lot of time and money) and avoid this product.

Huge time and money saver. Fast and easy to use.
VERY quick and easy to use. This is a great time saver. Not just for the usual doors and windows, but for garage doors, fixtures, adjoining fences. My focus is construction, but it is also great for lots of non-construction painting.I use the 9" and some 12" paper, and the 6 foot plastic. I usually use 1" tape with it, but also use 1 1/2". The 1" is cheaper where you have good adhesion, but the 1 1/2" is great for a lot of applications, especially where adhesion is not great. Be sure to change the setting on the cutter when you change tape widths...sometimes I forget. It works perfectly on right setting.
