Canon quality at a fraction of the cost
Works with the Canon Vixia HF G30 just great. I'd like to see how they compare in a couple of years, but it's not worth it to me paying 3x just for a brand name. Specs match Canon's, it's solid and high quality, and battery time remaining shows up on the camera as well. For all intents and purposes so far, it's identical to a Canon BP-828 battery.

Works with the XA-20. No more fear of a dead battery.
Just a quick note to let folks know that this does work with the XA-20 (and presumably its variants). I've only had a chance to use it a little but it's working fine with the camera and the Wasabi charger. Now I don't have battery anxiety. I've had good luck with Wasabi products in the past and customer support through Blue Nook has been excellent.Currently, they have a kit with two batteries and a charger that's a better deal than buying the items separately.Note that these batteries are longer than the ones that come with the camera. Wasabi makes the smaller size also if that's what you want. This size (same as the Canon BP-828) sticks out the back about 3/4" (19mm) farther.

This battery communicates correctly with the XF400. Shows minutes remaining and so far accurate.

Only lasts a year - stick with OEM
Battery worked fine last year in my Vixia HF G30 camera. Now it won't take a charge. I purchased it on 7/1/15, so it's a little more than a year old. The Canon battery that I have is from 11/2014 and it still works fine. I guess i learned my lesson on purchasing Wasabi batteries.

Wasabi Power Batteries are one of the biggest bangs for the buck but I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this battery in
In general, Wasabi Power Batteries are one of the biggest bangs for the buck but I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this battery in that once charged up and attached to my Canon G30, the estimated run time on the camcorder indicated close to 280 minutes available but in reality, only got around 120 - 150 minutes. A very big disappointment since I am needing a battery to last for over 2 hours with a big reserve to carry me when not close by an electrical outlet while videotaping dance recitals which tend to run a little long.

Great extended battery, cheap build.
The outer casing of my battery cracked very early in its life, but nothing a little superglue didn't fix.

Great battery
I have used Wasabi batteries for years. Great value. Highest sustained capacity. This BP-828 replacement gives 5-6 hours running on new Canon G50.Only issue with Wasabi batteries is longevity. If the battery is stored fully charged for 6-12 months, it loses substantial capacity. Some to most of this loss may be partially recovered by repeated deep cycling. Partially charged batteries do not show any loss. The one time I had a problem, BlueNook provided great painless support.
