It really worked!!
My husband put handfuls of moth balls on small paper plates in our 42 foot RV over the winter. In spite of removing the mothballs and opening all the windows the smell was horrendous even after 3 days of airing it out. It actually burned my eyes and throat. I purchased 2 of these bags (I should have gotten 3 bags for the square footage). My brother put one bag of the Smelleze mothball odor remover in the main area and second just outside the bedroom with all windows open and the furnace fan blowing. He reactivated them in the microwave the second morning . On the third morning he was amazed-the smell was gone, no smell on the furniture or bedding or anywhere.. I too was overjoyed that it worked

Wasted money
It didn't work for me. My house still smelled like moth balls. Well mine is a bit different situation. Our problem is we're having squirrels in the space above our porch. The little munchkins have eaten a whole in the siding and crawl up there and chew stuff up. So we read about ways of discouring them from going in and somebody said to use moth balls. To make along story short we couldn't get in the space where the moth balls were so we hung it in the living room where the smell was strongest but didn't make a bit of difference. So I don't know if you were to put it on a closet it might work.

Wow! It works! Fast!!
We had a horrible smell show up in a corner of our master bedroom that could only be explained by a small animal having died between the walls. We live outside the city limits with many grain fields around us, and a pecan orchard on our back property. That said, squirrels and mice are both prevalent, even though there is no reason for them to need to come inside for food, they still do from time to time. I digress, 😊 I found this product through a Google search, bought it, received it and sat the small canvas sack on the floor where the odor was the strongest. Within two days, the odor was gone in our bedroom!! I could still smell a slight odor on the other side of the wall, in our walk in closet, so I moved the bag in there. Within one day, it had completed its work in the closet. I was so impressed!! I love the fact that this small inconspicuous sack could do so much, so quickly!

On the Fence About Smelleze
I bought a used loveseat that is in good condition, like new, but it has a strong mothball scent to it. I didn't realize it until I got it home. From morning to evening, I crack open a window to let fresh air in where the loveseat is located. I do this despite it is winter and 20 degrees out. Anyway, I first bought the Bad Odor Air Sponge to help eliminate the mothball odor. I didn't see any difference in the smell. So, I bought two Smellezes bags. Since the Smellezes, I have smelled a slight difference. The strong mothball odor has reduced, but not completely gone. I do move the Smelleze bags around on the loveseat, and I have reactivated the Smellezes, zapping them in the microwave once a week. Also, I have placed open boxes of baking soda around the loveseat. The mothball smell still lingers. Ugh!Pro: 1) Smelleze comes in these nice material bags that hold the product inside. I am able to place the bags all over the loveseat without a mess of staining the furniture: On the cushions, under the cushions, behind the back cushions. 2) Smelleze can be reactivated in the microwave for those who live in northern states, and there is limited sun exposure.Do they work? Maybe a little, but they do not completely get rid of the, mothball, smell. Therefore, I'm giving the product 3 stars because I do see/smell a small difference, but I don't know if it is the combination of the Bad Odor Air Sponge, baking soda boxes, and Smelleze that I have around the loveseat. When I walk into the room where the loveseat is located, I still get a smack in the face of the awful mothball smell.I'm moving on to activated charcoal and a fabric deodorizer spray. My inexpensive loveseat is becoming expensive and tedious.

Didn’t work
I’ve had this bag in the trunk for two weeks, alternating days opened and closed. Moth ball smell remains. Maybe not as strong, but still very much there.
