Soundstream AR4.1200 Arachnid Series 1200W Class A/B Full Range Amplifier

I got this amplifier at a killer deal!! I'm really impressed with soundstream amplifiers! I also bought the AR1.25000D and both are better than I expected!!! I definitely recommend this amplifier's if anyone is looking for great deals and definitely get more for your money!

Looks really nice, Did not get to use it though. Was a little to big for my application. Sent it back with no problems, highly recommended the seller if this is the right amplifier for your setup!

Amp noise bought this to run 4 6x8s 120rms each did all my checks even added noise filter know success. Even put my old amp back in to see if it was coming from the vehicle. Know noise from my Kenwood 100w amplifier.Wouldn't recommend this amp. Just didn't last.

First This is a nice quality amp. Does not do its rated power, But its still a strong, amp. With High Quality sound reproduction. Sounds Much better than the Class D amps sound. Im using it for my mids and highs, sounds great. Very good sound quality. For subs, It do a good job pushing them, but You probably be better off with a class d, for subs, But for mids or highs, this amp does a very good job. Just dont expect 1200 Watts out of it, Id say 125 x 4 is the top end on this amp, so u can expect 400-500 quality watts. Which is more than enough for most mids, and hi's. Got mine sounding amazing. Good looking amp, The soundstream glows blue, which was a nice suprise. Its by no means the sound stream of the old days, but for the price you cant beat it. My old 10.2 would have ate this for lunch, but You can buy 7of these for what it cost, so 7 of these woulda probably beat my old 10.2 lol.

Overall not bad not great but it isnt expensive so.... It feels quality, it's allaluminum body/heatsink except plastic end caps but that normal. It is fairly heavy that's always assuring but it's an A/B class amp so it's going to be noticeably heavier than a comprable class D. Sound Quality it sounds pretty good slight noise at zero volume but it very well may be something else but never noticed it before. Where it lost stars was the power... The ratings are totally bogus mindblower in budget amps if you removed a zero off the boxes "max" rating that is what you get. This amp dynoed out at around 45w RMS per channel not 125+. Now if your just trying to add some umph to your regular speakers fine does the trick but it is hooked to factory Dodge 6x9s and they take all of it With the high pass set to lop off the lowest of the frequencies because it did have pretty good bass power in the 6x9s. But they wouldn't like alot of bass I leave that for my NVX sub. So if want good sound and about 45/50w power per channel its a pretty good buy. I wanted to get the same model but the1800.4 but it was couple inches to long it was only smidge more money. Oh yeah it showed overnight that was awesome! 10 stars on free shipping time!! BUT it wasn't in a box! Amazon slapped a shipping label on the retail box! There want even tape on the box tab! how it didn't get damaged ,stolen or flop open and dump everywhere I don't know. And NO DECAL!!☹️

Gets hot very fast they are ok for the price only issue is it trips of under little pressure. Shipping cost more than the product though. I'm loving my mids, will replace this amp soon, need to put a fan on it to keep it cool.
