Sprouted nuts from the Phillipines? Huh! It's delicious. No, REALLY!
What the heck is a Peel - ee - nut (Pili)? Close your eyes and plop one in your mouth. Feels cool on the tongue. Bite down and it feels like a soft white chocolate (rather than a hard dark chocolate). It breaks into little pieces immediately. Then, almost dissolved on your tongue like a foam on a head of beer. Then, you begin to taste it, kind of almost no taste at all, then you get a hint of macadamia but not exactly. Then, you squeeze your tongue to the roof of your mouth and you get remnants as if bits of coconut were transported by sleight of hand. Holy smokes what is this? Read on!This is a sprout of something grown in the Phillipines. I conjure up images of an Irish distillery roasting barley over smoke on the expanse of a whiskey barley cellar. I'm sure it doesn't look anything like a whiskey maker's factory. These look like someone (gross warning) pulled fingernails and created some kind of confectionary. It has the color of a light pale almond.Ok, so fool me once...as the saying goes! And this nut is filled to the brim with thiamin, magnesium & manganese. Isn't the USA dirt depleted of magnesium? Are we all magnesium deficient?Holy smokes, is this delicious or what? Buy it. Buy it now. Note that there is only 5 servings to a 5 oz bag...1 oz fits on the center of your palm.

Expensive but so yummy, perfect for keto diet
If you haven't tried these, do! These nuts are buttery and flavorful with a dash of salt. At first taste I wasn't sure I liked them, and for the price I really thought they should have more of a wow factor. But I've been surprised to find I reach for these nuts more than any other in the house! The package suggests keeping them in the fridge to help them last but I find that it does help boost the flavor as well. Their crisp coolness really helps the smooth flavor pop. I've tried other brands and found them bland, waxy or so heavy with the salt you can't taste the nut so I will stick with this brand. Just wish they weren't so pricey.

Just get it.
So I have been doing keto for about 7 months and I am getting sick of macadamia nuts and decided to try this. First of all, I don't know what kind of fairy godlike creature created these, but thank you. They are absolutely amazing. They kinda taste like if The Butter God had a baby with The Nut God and it was creamy and crunchy all at the same time. I had no idea what to expect, but I was not expecting a nut to be like crack. Seriously I just can't stop eating them. Thank god I'm at goal weight. Anyway, I really love them. And you should just try them.

Not a great value. Gonna Stick with Macadamia Nuts
I’ve never tasted a Pili nut so I really don’t know how this brand is suppose to taste. My first impression was that it had a “Rancid”, less than peasant taste, but maybe that’s just the virgin coconut 🥥 oil they are fried in 🤷. Or… maybe they are rancid…who knows because there is no expiration date on the package. They are creamy in texture and slightly crunchy. They only seem to be available on Amazon. At $2.35 per ounce they are not a great value. I get why they are expensive. Each nut has to be hand cracked and there is a sprouting process among other costs. Macadamia nuts are a little more in carbs but half the price per pound. I’m glad I tried these Pili nuts but, for me, I think I’ll stick with Macadamia nuts until the price comes down and the taste improves.

Yum!
So, I've tried Pili nuts before because I read that they are the best nut to eat for low carb/keto. They were forgettable. However, these Pili nuts are at a whole other level. They almost melt in your mouth and the flavor was awesome. For that I would give them a 5 and more if I could.I am a big snacker. I know, my bad, but I am. These really satisfy the need for something yummy. However, I cannot justify the cost and will prolly not buy again. I know nuts are always spendy but this is just too much (for me) to pay for something to just put in my mouth while being a slug watching tv. If you can control yourself and be satisfied with just a few nuts and want to try these, I would highly recommend. Or, if you're a Rockefeller type and can afford to spoil yourself you should totally get a case of these. I would if I was! They are amazing and I'm sad that I'm too cheap to spend the money.

Yuck!
Wasted 14 bucks on these things. Very oily tasting.

Good Taste, Awful Value
Pleasant snack in terms of flavor. I'd liken them to a large pine nut in terms of taste and texture. The flavoring powder used was tasty. I only had like one "sour" nut in the whole batch. The body of the nut is too soft for my tastes, like a pine nut, so there's no satisfying crunch.$20 for a small bag? Absolutely not. I'd rather be buying pecans or macadamia nuts with that money. You'll be buying this once to satisfy your food curiosity, but you likely won't come back for seconds.

Expired upon arrival **** UPDATED REVIEW
Nuts are great, today is 8/15/2022. Nuts expired already....The expired were the sample packs, not the main bag. That was good until 12/2022. They did say eat within 7 days of expiration, and they were.I am not sure I'd send out expiring products, but they were 'free' and now gone. Everything is gone. Don't think I have ever updated a review before, but....These nuts are phenomenal!!! Yes, they are very pricey, but they are fan-freakin-tastic!!! If they were cheaper, I'd buy them more often, but I will definitely buy them again. If you are a nut-person. No excuse and no BS ... you got try these. WOW!!!! Good stuff!!So I gave 5 stars when I thought they were all expired, now... 10 stars!!! 😁
