Impressed by the high quality. Paint detail, contrast, and finish between the various colors is very well done. When picking up the items I first noticed that it had some weight to it, NOT cheep light weight plastic. The product has some depth / thickness to it and feels solid. On the back side the color is black. I used a piece of black soft felt tape on the back side of the shield so as to not scratch my wall once the shield is on the wall. There are two key-hole shaped provisions on the back at each upper corner where a drywall screws could be used on the wall for hanging the shied. The head of the dry wall screw would fit into the round part of the provision and then slide down to the thinner part of the provision so as to prevent the shield from falling off of the drywall screw once it is mounted to the wall. This product to me was very well worth it, I purchased two and they both make a great visual display.

The swords are real and removable. It adds class to the reading room. It’s professional looking and not cheesy.

If you are interested in this product you will love it. Workmanship is excellent. It is difficult to hang by design. I get great compliments all the time.

Missing swords. Called the manufacturer described on website and was informed that I needed to go through Amazon. Got in touch with Amazon support and was informed I would have a replacement sent. Overall very disappointed with the missing parts considering the cost but if I get the new one (have yet to receive confirmation a replacement has been ordered) I will edit my review. Long story short very dissatisfied with the run around I got but the craftsmanship of the part that came is solid.

I would actually rate it 3.5, if half scoring was allowed.Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy this armor/swords piece and it goes great with my living room theme. It’s a must for anyone who enjoys medieval art, architecture, and history. When viewed from a distance of 3+ feet away, it looks amazing and very real. I have it mounted on a wall, behind a chair, about a foot above eye level. It mounts easily with two wall anchor screws (not included). Having soft lighting on the piece also seems to enhance it and gives it a better appearance. It’s a good price for a resin replica, considering an authentic metal replica of the same thing would easily be in the 700-800 dollar range. I did expect a little better quality control though.The flaws start to show the closer that you get. It is described as hand painted. True, but the quality control supervisor must’ve fallen asleep and the workers started drinking while painting it. The gold painting on the detailing is not consistent or uniform whatsoever. Half of a small piece of the detailing will have a few strokes of gold and the rest will be an unpainted silver color. Some details appear to have missed the gold brush completely, while others have brush strokes that are too thick. I also noticed several small circular indentations where air bubbles must’ve formed in the resin during the molding process. At the price this is selling for, I expected much better close-up quality.I’ve uploaded 5 photos in the customer photo section for this piece to illustrate what I’ve described in this review. I would recommend this item, but I hope that this review helps other potential buyers realize the positives and negatives of this display piece.

The detail on this armor is great. Looks really authentic. A bit pricey but it's consistent with the others like it. We put it up in the vestibule at our gym. The gym is called The Iron Fortress, so it fits right in with the name.

I wish I could rate this item higher. I was aware of the way the armor was hand painted by the other reviews and I was fine with that since the piece would be hung high enough that the illusion would be effective. However, while lifting the armor up to hang, a quarter sized piece of paint flaked off the neck and more paint is threatening to do the same. That's the sort of thing one expects from a dollar store item - not a 200 dollar piece. I've attached pictures of the defect.Three stars because I do still like the piece and Amazon has rectified the situation to my liking. Just be forewarned that the quality isn't what it should be for the price of this item.I still won't be buying any of this company's items again, however. It's a shame because I've looked through their catalog and planned on purchasing a few more. Just can't trust it now.
