National Hardware N162-024 Chain Door Stops, Zinc Plated

The wind would cause the door to my Tuff Shed to bang against an adjacent vinyl fence all the time. I used a piece of block to keep the door from blowing around and banging into the fence. Very annoying to say the least. I wanted an inexpensive method to restrain the door's movement and this worked perfectly. I read the reviews, some saying this was cheap and that it broke easily. Not my experience at all. This is a large and fairly heavy door and this door stop handles it with ease. Installation was very easy. This has been installed for a couple of weeks now; I am very pleased with the outcome and the performance.

I got a new security screen door installed but it kept slamming open hitting the side of the house. This Chain Doorstop was just what I was looking for and works perfectly. Reasonable price and easy to install.

Great product, very easy to install and best of all. The wind still catches the door but it does not slam anymore.

We added an addition onto our house and that meant the whole front of the house had to go...the screen door was saved but someone lost the pneumatic piece that keeps your children (or the wind) from blowing the door open and through the adjoining window so we constantly had to make sure the door was closed after the little ones came inside. This happened often because....we'll, kids.Enter this chain (insert technical name here). Not hard to install, works like a charm and I've got no worries that the screen door will fly through the window anymore! That piece of mind alone is worth the cost of admission (asking price).Wind: no problem! Children: not a worry! Got a feral (but really, really sweet cat that my little one affectionately named "Tiny Arms") that is pregnant and wants to open the screen door to meow to come in: not an issue! Seriously, on another note, getting pets spayed, neutered is a good idea (End of PSA).Quite honestly, this is awesome.

I gave this product 5 stars because, it had a reasonable price, it was made with quality, it arrived on time, it was easy to install and it works great! It is a simple device that I use to secure my patio screen door from swinging open so fast when we have high winds. There isn't much to dislike, except if you are not a handyman, you might have difficulty reading the instructions. I didn't need those anyway thankfully.I would suggest this as a product to buy and use!

This product is sturdy and easy to install. I was able to put the majority of the hardware on my automatic door closer. You do have to drill into the frame of the door if you want to use the part that makes sure the chain doesn't rattle against your door. I installed it on my front door, at the top and it prevents my automatic closer from bending if someone tries to pull the door past 90 degrees, or the wind catches the door. I was going to install in on my side door, but the automatic closer is in the middle of my door frame and I couldn't figure out how to get it to attach either at the top or middle of the door. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I was hoping I could use it for my side door in the middle hinge.
