Q: Will this re-seal the edge of the pillow? I have a blowout about 1" wide, where the edge has separated.

It should work fine, just make sure both sides of the edge are clean and dry. I have used the seals on the upright fingers having a side blowout. just like repairing a innertube for a bicycle - make sure all the bubbles are out.

Q: Does it really weights 5 pounds?

No I purchased three patch kits at one time and all three wouldn't even weigh a pound.

Q: Does this repair kit adhere to the vinyl surface on the base of the cushion or just the rubber surface on the top?

Q: I have a medium sized tear by my seat nozzle will this fix it the tear is around 1cm across?

My leak was pinhole size but I think it would cover 1 cm. Worked great!
