Zebra Pen Sarasa Clip Retractable Gel Ink Pens, Fine Point 0.5mm, Assorted Color Water Based Ink, 20-Count

These are some of my favorite pens and I was thrilled to find this large pack with so many lovely colors. I had the vintage colors (which don’t appear to be duplicated in this package!) and now I have every color I need. I love they way they feel and write. Zebra makes excellent products (see my review on their midliners) and I am happy that Amazon is carrying them. I use them mostly in my planners and journals, but they certainly could be an everyday pen as well. The flow of the ink is smooth and I don’t find they bleed through most papers at all. I haven’t tried extremely thin paper (such as bible paper), so I can’t say they never do, but I haven’t had an issue. I really like them and I highly recommend this set!

I love pens, first of all. And I buy a lot of them. I especially like metallic and sparkle, and I love lots of pigment. These are metallic, which is good, but they don't write as smoothly as I'd like. I bought a set of these at Michaels a month prior and returned them because the performance of the ball point was terrible. Ink line would break up, have to be started again and again. Two of them did not work at all. I thought maybe they were old, so I returned to Michael's and bought from Amazon. On the positive side, they are cheaper at Amazon by $4. But the performance, though better than the Michael's set, is not what it should be. Some of the pens, like the bright pink, purple, and silver, work well and give a good strong line. But others, especially the lighter colors, break up, act like they are drying up, even though they are new. I will keep because the price was good and I like some of the colors, but I wouldn't buy them again.

These pens probably have my favorite colors out of all the gel pens that I own. They are so light and smooth. Great for a cute or simple aesthetic. I’m not sure how well the white pen works in the set though, as I don’t have black paper. It didn’t seem to layer over the other colors very well, so maybe it can layer over other materials than paper. Super cute colors in the set though
