I like this primer
I like this primer. Nice coat and cover. I really like this primer. For those that have had a hard time with it, keep in mind that any sandable primer is going to go on heavier. And ya really have to know how to work with it. Especially from a cheap nozzle on rattle cans. Try this, I always heat the cans up by letting them soak in hot water for about 30 minutes. Obviously you need to be sure to shake very well, and continue to do so while using. I also heat the metal up a little with a hair dryer or heat gun to bring the metal temp up a little. Doing this, it will lay down nice and smooth. Shooting it cold will frustrate you and in many cases run, clog, etc. Also, between coats when you set the can down for a few minutes, before doing so, hold the can upside down and spray to clear the nozzle then wipe it clean. That will also help make the nozzle last for the full can. A little heat can make spray paint flow much nicer. Try it..

Product would not cure!
My main advice to you who may be considering this product: If you're painting an old rusty mower, or a fence post- this stuff will do. If it's anything of greater value or concern- you will want to look for a better quality product. My story: I bought 10 cans in order to prime my pickup truck, which I was then going to paint over with a 1-stage enamel topcoat. I Properly prepared the painting surfaces by scuffing and sanding. I sprayed on 3 coats of the Rustoleum sandable primer, following the directions for "flash time" between coats, and I was careful about distance of nozzle to paint surface, speed of hand-movement, and all other techniques in order to evenly distribute the primer. When it was finished it LOOKED great, and I was quite happy with the results. The problem was that 3 hours later it was still so soft you could push a dent into the paint with a fingernail and minimal pressure. I then read online that it can sometimes take up to 3 days for a full "cure" of certain spray paints, so I waited another 3 days. No luck- some areas were still quite soft (although a little less than before), but other areas seem to have cured completely, and yet the paint scrapes right off with my thumbnail. So- NO ADHESION EITHER! Again- these were properly prepared/sanded surfaces that were cleaned with grease and wax remover (also from rustoleum). I ended up stopping at just the pickup bed, and last night (after the 4th full day of hoping it would cure -no change!) I began the painstaking processes of sanding it all off so I can apply a real automotive primer (WAY more expensive) with my paint gun.I will add this- I sprayed the primer on a Saturday afternoon in Florida when the humidity was about at 60% (higher than recommended), and the tempurature was about 82. So maybe one of those two elements (or both) was the culprit, however if this paint is that sensitive then I would recommend caution about whether you want to use it for any important application.

Normally Good Product - Not This Time
I've used spray paint for decades, including this product. Rustoleum is a good, trusted brand, so I don't know what is going on here, but... like many others, I had a really bad experience with this product from Amazon. With half a can (at least!) left, the paint started spraying in fits and starts. Two seconds of solid product, then nothing—off and on, over and over. Regardless of the amount of can-shaking, nozzle cleaning, or angle of spraying, it would not spray correctly. This is a big deal if you have any hope of getting solid, even coverage: complete impossibility and utter frustration. This is a 4 or 5-star product, but the stuff that I received from Amazon is a mess. Not recommended.

Great when you get a working can
This is great for priming 3d printed parts. It fills in cracks and can be sanded down to a nice smooth finish. It's extremely easy to work with. However, I have a difficult time ordering paint from Amazon. This can stopped working not even halfway through. I even swapped out the nozzle and it's just stuck somehow. This was mid-use as well.

Does not have a fan type spray nozzle
The primer itself is fine, typical and nothing wrong with it except the spray tip. It's just a circular spray pattern that is very hard to overlay evenly. Much better to have a fan pattern spray tip for repainting auto/cycle parts.
