Fun for all!
I gave this to my 5 year old niece (she was slightly young for it) but it really challenged her which was great! There are a good mix of puzzles which kept her busy, and I even enjoyed helping her solve some of them when she got stumped.

Fun without a screen!
This is a great break from screen time! The activities require more attention than a simple coloring book, but still present the opportunity to draw and color. The sudoku puzzles are great! The book starts with simple puzzles, then introduces harder challenges later.

Great value!
This book is a great value for its price! It provides enough variety and is long enough to provide a lot of value to children in this age group. The scale up in difficulty as the book progresses is appropriate, and makes sense as children get accustomed to the different types of puzzles. The find the odd one out activities in particular become great for critical thinking as the book progresses.

Great activities to build critical thinking, but poor page layout
There is an ample selection of puzzles and activities for children to use to build critical thinking skills, like sudoku, mazes, find the differences, etc. My first complaint is that the puzzles to cut apart and put back together were printed on the back of other activity pages that didn't require cutting. There were also no page numbers, so if you take the pages out of the book, you no longer have any order to them.

More for younger kids
I was disappointed when I received this book. My daughter is in second grade (7 years old) and the Activities in here are more appropriate for five or six-year-olds. My daughter enjoyed the Saduko and the cut out puzzles that she had to put together; otherwise everything was really easy. My daughter is not advanced for her age either. So a normal second grader/7 year old might get bored.

So-so
Ages 6-8 is probably right, in that some activities will appeal primarily to 6 year olds, and some primarily to 8 year olds. There are activities on the back of the pages to cut out for puzzles, which doesn't make much sense to me. About 70 activities altogether, so as long as we remember not to cut puzzles out before doing the activity on the other side, it should at least last a while.

Poorly executed book
The scissor cut out activities are not followed by a blank page, so once you do some cutting you lose the activity in the following page sharing the same sheet of paper. Check both sides of paper before cutting.

Bought to entertain 5 & 7 year old. They show no interest 🤷🏻♀️ Ah well.
