A well researched and entertaining guide to geographic/economic diversification
The book is a comprehensive guide to doing what many people just think about - diversifying away from a geographically anchored life. I read the book in one long seven-hour marathon and was surprised that it kept my attention for this long (often books in the business oriented "self help" genre can be tiring to read). The book is practical without being formulaic, and my takeaway is that the author's personal philosophy is as much that a worthy life is one rich in experiences, as it about saving cash through off-shoring to increase personal wealth (though of course the latter can serve to enhance the former). There are enough anecdotes to keep the reader entertained, and the author's tone is in general remains balanced and upbeat without drifting into into egotism (another complaint of this genre). The research also really shines through - the author's first-hand experience of (for example) scoping out Albania to determine investment opportunities, of understanding what makes a successful businessperson in Cambodia and to bank account set up in Romania, its clear that he's been living this life for a long time and and has a genuine passion for it.Like all books in this genre, a reader's potential for effecting positive change in their life depends on their own motivation. The author is honest about this - and also about the fact that many people's life circumstances simply don't allow them to diversify their life out of one place. All in all, an interesting read that provides lots of food for thought and outlines a few initial practical steps that anyone can take to de-anchor themselves.

Great book about the modern offshore/international lifestyle
A good introduction to structuring one’s life in a way which lets you optimize for whatever you wish, provided you are willing to look at international opportunities.I found the author through his YouTube channel (content marketing, but very heavy on the content.). The modern “offshore” world is something I know to a pretty reasonable degree, although only some of my experience overlaps here (and some of it predates the author’s). From what I can tell, the information presented is quite good, and up to date, although the specifics of which country and which programs are best at any given time constantly are changing (and a lot of things depend upon the individual). The most valuable parts of the book are: 1) drawing a line between the old “secrecy” based offshore world (70s-90s) and the new compliant but optimized offshore world; and 2) the general mindset of planning these kind of strategies, deciding when to act, and showing what is generally possible. One specific fact I learned was the favorable treatment of overseas precious metals holdings for US citizens; one big weakness or missing area of the book was technology (communications, cryptocurrency, infosec, etc.)Overall I strongly recommend this book. It doesn’t provide specific how to steps, but that would be unreasonable for a book like this (as every situation is different). It probably could do it being updated or expanded with some of the information from the YouTube channel, rather than just a funnel toward consulting services at the end, but it combined with the website and YouTube channel provide really comprehensive and up to date information.

It's not for everyone, but for every entrepreneur who knows they deserve better.
I think most of the negative reviews here are looking for one thing: a universal DIY step-by-step process on how to "Go where you're treated best." Well, you won't find it here, simply because...that does not exist! What's best for one person isn't necessarily the best thing for EVERYONE in the world. And so it would be quite impossible to simply publish a course, or fill this book with detailed processes - just in case everyone who reads it decides that doing all that is his ONLY best option... And that would be far from the truth. Andrew Henderson revealed a lot about his personal strategy without getting too technical, because choosing his EXACT path isn't going to be right for everyone. This book is so full of information, but only for those who are willing to expand their perspective. View the ideas and tips with critical thinking, and decide whether this path is for you or not, so you can take the necessary steps to get there in a manner that suits YOU. I've always been fascinated by offshore companies, coming from a bureaucratic, business-unfriendly country (see? I'm not a US citizen, and even I found this book amazing. It's really all about perspective). This book has inspired me beyond the entrepreneurial aspect; the whole philosophy of going where you're treated best should be embraced in all aspects of your LIFE. And if you just let that sink in for a moment, it will change how you think and feel and view the world and its opportunities. Read this book, then go be an entrepreneur about it: Make the strategies your own, figure even more things out along the way, and when you can - get a mentor to get where you're going much faster.
