Picture Perfect
Took lens with me to the Netherlands and played around with it there. f4 isn't a hindrance since you'll be shooting landscapes and architecture anyways. Minimal distortion (you'll still have the normal distortion if subjects are too far to the sides of the lens) and vignetting. Both can be fixed in post editing. It is a big lens. And heavy. But if you're shooting wide, you kinda get use to that. Haven't tried filters on it since Sigma doesn't make any for this lens. You'll have to go to a 3rd party and because of the lens size, it will cost you.The lens has low flaring, and no chromatic aberration that I could make out.All my shots were taken with a Canon 5D mark IV.Yes, the lens is expensive. But you are buying a sharp, fast, profession lens for a lot less than the other lenses in the category.

Best ULTRA Wide Zoom
Amazing Lens! Especially for the price. The only other lens that can compare is the Canon 11-24mm that is about $1000 more. The extra 1mm focal length and negligibly better IQ is not worth the extra. The best part about this lens is the "no distortion". Lines are straight all across the frame and there is little to no barrel distortion. The only thing that would make me complain about this lens is that it is rather heavy. Its heavier than most lenses except for the 70-200s. Build quality is impeccable. It also has a gasket on the mount, and the lens cover is very tight when its on the lens. Very fun lens, Highly Recommend.

the image quality is excellent. There is barrel distortion at the widest angles ...
In my experience with this lens, the image quality is excellent. There is barrel distortion at the widest angles but this is easily correctable in post-processing. Also, this is less noticeable in many scenic photos (with no horizon line). My one complaint is that the stated item weight of 1.5 lbs appears to be misleading. See my photo. On my admittedly not high end kitchen scale the weight with the plastic caps is close to 3 pounds.

It fixed everything else like the, vignette and corrected the distortion but would ...
I really wanted to keep this lens. I'm a Nikon shooter and have been for 25 years. I have prime 1.4 lenses as well as the 2.8 zooms. I shoot a lot with 14-24 2.8 and wanted a little wider for architecture. I ordered this and had to adjust the focus with the dock. All worked well or at least I thought. When I would shoot at 12 mm at 6.3 I noticed the right side where the door frame was had a bow in it. I thought I would correct it in LR CC but it would not take that out. It fixed everything else like the, vignette and corrected the distortion but would not take out the bow. Now if you are using this for landscapes,, you won't have any issues, but for critical lines, it's a no go for me.The lens is well built and like I said, I wanted to keep it but decided to return it.I hope this helps if you're on the fence.

Loving it
I love this lens. I love it for promo photos, realestate , and even group photos. The only thing is I thought o was buying it in Canadian dollars and it ended up being U.S. prices. Ouch.

A Real Estate Photographers Dream.
As a photographer that shoots a lot of Real Estate, it's the best lens I've ever used for that purpose. Distortion is very well controlled and it's very sharp. I've been using the Tamron 15-30 for the last couple of years and after a week of using this Sigma, I will be retiring the Tamron to the shelf.
