I'm not a plmber, so was a bit unsure as to how this would go.I watched several videos on YouTube, and when the valve arrived I was in a position to prepare for the removal of the old and installation of the new. All the new parts were laid out and the threads wrapped with ptfe tape ready.I isolated the radiator and removed the old valve, point to note either have a water vacuum, a bucket and lots of rags to hand as there will be a lot of water coming out of the radiator and pipes.Anyway, old removed and then the new parts installed, it was easy, even if a bit messy. It took me an hour from receipt of the valve to having it all back up and working, minus the previous leaks from the valve.Good value, swift delivery and easy to install.

Got this TRV to replace 20 year old ones that were sticking and seemed to have older non standard threads. At some point I was to upgrade the TRV heads to smarthome based ones, so these Honeywell TRVs fit the bill as I can replace the head easily in future. Valves were very good value and worked perfectly. I'm not a plumber but lots of Youtube videos on installing radiator valves helped me drain the radiator, remove old TRVs and replace with these ones. It was a drop in replacement literally. Very happy. Prime delivery meant I got to order these on boxing/stephen's day and had them 2 days later to fit as a xmas holiday mini project.

Installing this was easy providing you had the right tools to undo the old TRV. Read up on how to do it before you commence. It has been awhile now that this part has replaced my leaky TRV ( old ). I replaced a MYSON TRV for a Honeywell TRV. It was easy to configure this TRV to the correct temperature settings before replacing. Looked up a few YouTube video self-help clips before attempting to replace it on a Combi Heating Boiler. No need to drain all radiators. Just bleed the offending radiator. The TRV. No need to call out heating engineer. Just booked it back on as an annual service for engineer, gas engineer to look over the system as a whole. Home service contract is not covered with radiators so it would be an extra and access if you claim.

I purchased a Honeywell TRV because I've fitted many before but this one is different, the head doesn't fit on the standard nuts, you have to use the included fitments.Thats OK but it stops you moving the heads around the system if you want to.Note also that the supplied fitments are not finished in chrome.

I found no problem with fitting and it works great, very happy.

Very easy to have installed, having drained the system first. A reasonable price as various fittings were included.

Are you component I bought from Amazon will not be used now I just have it as a spare part, I had to get the cut the professionals in to repair the radiator.
