Is well sealed and very good waterproofed

Purchased to connect mains incoming cable to two outside floodlights, good price and easy to install, IP rating was good for outdoor installation.

I bought three of these for my pond installation. One of the boxes didn't have all the yellow silicon rubber seals but that was a non-issue as the maximum sized cable most people are going to use with this device is probably 13A mains cables - and the fitted seals are the correct ones.The "choc box" connector included is very old school. These days we use Wago-style connectors as my photo shows. It's more secure and can be undone in seconds. About time these boxes were updated to the 21st century.Enough of the niggles, then. The actual boxes were roomier than I feared (so the Wago connector I used had loads of room) and the inlet/output cable routes were fine for mains cable, and were probably waterproof. I didn't test that assumption as these boxes are just lying next to the barrel ponds, not underwater.The lid fitted securely with its soft rubber seal ensuring a watertight fit. The screws went in fine but I was marginally disappointed they were not bolts into captive nuts rather than just screws into plastic. But as I won't be undoing these very often, if at all, I anticipate no issues. Most importantly the seal was good.Buy again? Yes.Recommend to a friend? Yes (with the caveat about the Wago connector)

great box well made

These work well, they include the extra rubber circles for thicker cables (which i didn't need)only down side is there are only attach holes to mount the unit on one side, i needed my splitter to face upwards so the mounting screws are at the bottom.

Narrow box didn't allow for excess wire but a minor inconvenience

Good product with very good grommets. Screws weren't the best, but certainly do the job. Good sturdy product and water tight.
