If you practice Iaido or you want to train unsheathing and sheathing for speed, this option is very good for that, but the tsuba (the hand guard) moves up and down, so I put string around one of the sides, applied super glue, and the sword gained in consistency and without movement or racketing from the tsuba.

The katana materials are way better than the wooden cosplay ones, it can be used for light training, but can’t be used to hit hard tho or it will break after couple of hits so use it for “shadow fighting” or light sword fighting, I highly recommend it for intro level sword combat, then upgrade to materials like Mahogany wood swords which are almost 3-6 times more expensive but almost as strong as carbon steel.
