I only received this product today so the functional review will be a while out, but for the time being we'll do a first look. The mat itself appears to be made of a smooth, dense foam which I am unsure will repel urine - a concern for me as my 1 cat has a thing for peeing on litter mats. The bottom layer seems like it probably is waterproof from the feel of it and I've got a puppy pad between the layers in the event my pesky cat decides to pee on it.I like that the holes are pretty large, something I was looking for as a lot of the other mats of similar design have fairly small holes. I use a CatGenie and the litter you use with it isn't fine like a lot of clay or corn-based litters are, so the large holes in this mat is a plus. The advertised size is accurate and is comfortable to walk on.In the future I will update this review when I get actual use out of it and see how well it works with both urine and catching litter.06/12/2018Been using this for a couple days now. I enclosed a picture of the litter the mat has captured since then. It does a very good job of reducing litter scatter. I have bought a second one to extend the effective area as my cats are hairless so the litter sticks to them for a little ways outside the box. As expected, one of them peed on it once and the foam top layer repelled the water just fine.As for emptying the mat, I just lift the top layer and pick the mat up and dump it all back in the box.

No solo cumplen su trabajo de evitar que los gatos arrastren arena por toda la casa, ademas sirven como rascador y les encanta, tengo tres gatos y todos son felices con los tapetes, la arena ya no se esparce por todos lados como antes y ellos pueden pasar horas rascando el tapete o solo tirados sobre el porque al parecer está rico para acostarse.La limpieza de los mismos es fácil, son resistentes al agua (tomando en cuenta que pueden tener arena cuando les caiga agua, por ejemplo si lo tienes en el baño, hay que considerar que se endurecerá y al limpiarlo saldrán tubitos de arena dura que no sirven para regresar al arenero).Llevo un año con ellos y como se puede ver en las fotos es como están después de ser rascados por todo este tiempo, así que también son resistentes ya que el que más los rasca es el gato grande y es algo rudo.

This mat does a far better job of containing excess litter that any of the alternatives we have tried. Right now we have two very large, top entry litter boxes with small litter mats on top, and this mat on the floor in front of them. Almost no litter makes it off the large mat to the floor, and the litter that gets caught in this mat is easy to pour back into the boxes. Our cats are domestic shorthairs, so no foot hair to deal with, but the boy is nearly Maine Coon sized and can track a lot of litter through the house without some type of mat.

A few months ago I purchased this mat. It’s nice and big, however my cat likes to race out of the litter box so it doesn’t catch everything. Keep your expectations realistic. I love how easy to use it is and I’m very glad to have it, especially for the size.I rinsed it off once and when it dried, the fabric piping around the mat shrunk a bit which caused the mat to curve slightly. It bothered me, but over time I think the fabric stretched back into its normal shape.

***COMMENTAIRES EN FRANÇAIS PLUS BAS***I have owned this car litter mat for a few months now. Although not perrrrfect (get it?), it works. Before this one I bought at least 3 other mats to no avail. The holes in the mat catch the litter fine. My two cats still drag some outside the mat, but nearly as much as before. Pls note, just like other have stated, one of my kitty's pee'd on the mat the first day. I am not certain why as my cats never pee other than in their litter. This only happened once. Giving it a 4 star because I find this product on the expensive side...J'ai acheté ce tapis de caoutchou pour litière de chats il y a quelques mois. Après avoir essayé au moins 3 autres avant, je peux dire que celui ci fonctionne bien. Les trous sont assez profond que la litière reste en place. Mes chats trainent encore un peu de litière en dehors, mais rien à comparer à avant. SVP noter, comme plusieurs autres personnes ont mentionné, un de mes chats a uriné sur le tapis la première journée. C'est étrange car mes deux minous urinent uniquement dans leurs litière. Heureusement ceci n'est qu'arrivé une fois! Je donne un 4 étoiles car je trouve le tapis cher...
