Our Daily Brew
This has been a fantastic find, as evidenced by the fact that we've gone through 20lbs. I love Viet coffee, and while not REALLY true to form (lacking some traditional Vietnamese character one grows to expect), it is hands down the best daily drip coffee at this price point.

I am vietnamese, and it tastes like some local coffee I have tried in Vietnam

Nice mild mix of Arabics and Robusta beans.
Mild flavor with nice aroma.

the real thing
This is what coffee tastes like in Vietnam, especially if you make it properly with a phin: smooth, chocolatey, and delicious, but without any artificial flavors (be on the lookout for artificial flavors in many instant "Vietnamese" coffees). This is by far the best I've tasted.

Smooth but Bland, Not Fresh
I wanted to like this coffee because I previously had a Vietnam arabica/rustica blend from Copper Cow that was delicious & one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. I no longer get Copper Cow because they stopped selling whole bean. I ordered a phin to make Vietnamese coffee and decided to try this coffee. The first mistake was buying a 2lb bag off Amazon. Normally, I buy one 12oz bag at a time and finish it in 2 weeks. Being enticed by the relatively inexpensive price was another mistake. When the bag arrived, it was labeled with a roasting date of March 2023. I got the bag in November. In other words, this was old coffee and not fresh.I normally brew with an Aeropress and use the SCAA recommended ratio of 17:1 for coffee/water. I use a scale to measure and use 18g of coffee and 300ml of water. The water temperature is around 200-205°. I drink it black. I did not use the phin because I wanted to evaluate it with my normal brewing method, first. What can I say? I am really disappointed with this coffee. The roasting level is med-dark which is what I like. But, this coffee is bland, more like tea than coffee. There is nothing robust nor does it have any notes associated with characteristics coffee can have. The worst part is I have 2lbs of this which is about a 6 week supply. When I find a disappointing coffee, I blend it with a different bean because this usually becomes drinkable. If I do this with this coffee, it will become a 12 week supply. That’s a long time to drink bland coffee. I may just have to take the $ loss and give it away to someone who is less demanding of taste as long as it has caffeine.

Excellent Beans
These whole beans rival the flavor of every other bean that I've tried. Rich flavor, low acid-absolutely delicious. I grind the beans and use for espresso or coffee. I completely recommend this brand. I originally purchased these beans in Vietnam, and became hooked since. Thank goodness, I can now get this brand on Amazon. Warning, the beans are strong and can illicit palpitations.

Good, but not great.
I wasn't impressed. I was expecting a full, rich flavor. However, It is just a matter of opinion.
