Easy to apply
I used this product on the engine hatch of my twin-engine jetboat. I appears very similar to the original material installed by the OEM. I had to remove that materila in order to gain access to some fastning hardware and since I had to install new material I wanted to make some improvements to the sound deadening. To do this I decided to installed the Wave foam over base layers of S'mart Favorite 90 and S'mart RED 150. The S'mart products alone seemed to provide a substantial reduction in sound level and I thought that by adding a third layer of "eggcrate" foam the sound would be reduced even more. In hindsight, I probably could have skipped the application of the Smart RED and put the uxcell Wave right over the very dense layer of S'mart Favorite 90. The Wave material was easy to cut and easy to apply and the adhesion seemed excellent. The foam is moderate density and compresses nicely over the engine hatch lip for a good seal.

More mid bass.
Great, super cheap. Easy to work with. Peak and stick and does the job well. I bought 2 1 sqft panels from the auto store for $25 bucks ... this stuff works the same but better because I have way more.

Effective sound deadener but could use improvements
I overlaid this over butyl mat, closed cell foam mat and then this product. It does result in a further reduction in sound absorbtion over just butyl mat and flat foam.I do like how well it functions. However, I am concerned about its durability over a period of years. The foam is not nearly as dense as the closed-cell flat foam I use, and it has a porous, crumbly, cheap feel to it. While its not degrading as of installation I do wonder how it will do with a few years exposure to hot and cold weather cycling along with rain. Also, I was reading other reviews about issues getting the paper backing off without tearing. If you go slow when pulling and peel it off at a sharp angle in the direction in which you are pulling it it will come off. That being said, I think if they used a slightly thicker wax paper this wouldn't be an issue. While installing this I had some of the backing/adhesive come off on my fingers with bits of the foam attached. Its decent adhesive as it took several hand washings to get it to come off of my fingers. This didn't happen with the flat closed cell foam I was using. I beleive using a denser foam would prevent this. Finally, when I recieved it, I unrolled it outside under the sun to let it air out for a few hours as it had a strong, foul smell. Doing this, the smell reduced by about 90% after about 4 hours. It took me a lot of hunting to find someone who produced an eggcrate shaped sound deadener. I like this sound deadener but would be more comfortable using this on customer vehicles if they could make improvements in the quality of the foam as well as a thicker paper backing. And one final thing, I noticed in the product pictures on the Amazon webpage that they show this sound deadener lining the floor of a car. Any "eggcrate" shaped sound deadener works best when its allowed to maintain its shape. Its there to absorb sound not inhibit vibrations. That is what a butyl-based mat is for.Laying carpet on top of it, in my opinion, will inhibit the function of the egg crate design as it would flatten out those peaks and valleys, which is what does the work of absorbing noise. If you want to quiet the floor 1) use a butyl-based mat on areas which, when you knock on them with your knuckle, make a "tinny" sound. Many areas of the floor are metal welded to metal and will have a solid thud. They don't need anything. Then , if you really want, you can lay down the flat sound-absorbing closed-cell foam mats. I think that's a waste on the floor BECAUSE what would go over the butyl mat? The carpet! That will ad to to overall sound dampening and absorbtion when laid over butyl vibration dampening mat.You also don't need 100% coverage on a surface for buytl based mats. The people who specialize in R&D consitently say that 75% is great. I covered my underhood with a heat-resistant sound mat slowly over several months. I had reached 50%-70% and thought, "That's a nice improvement" when I slammed my hood closed. However, when I reached 75% one day and closed the hood, that 5% extra made a HUGE difference. I had reached that 75% mark. With a closed-cell foam mat its there for sound absorbtion and the more the better for quieting the airborn noise.

Good product and a great price
Lightweight, easy to cut, adhesive is forgiving if you want to move the foam while applying.I own a 2013 Scion Tc. The cabin is plastic and very little sound dampening and deadening from factory. I applied 5 rolls of dampening throughout the vehicle. This brought my vehile down from 72db to 66db. I bought 1 roll of uxcell and it was enough to do both sides of the floor front and rear with enough on the roll to do the back side of my driverside door panel. Will need 2 more rolls to complete everything. That said I retested my decibel levels afterwards. I am still at 66db. This doesn't tell you everything however. I did notice some frequency drop though I did not measure for this and did not back it up. Purely seat of the pants. The car seems very quiet at speeds under 50 mph. I gained nothing from this product at speeds above this. Though it's mostly due from the high wind noise that I hadn't noticed until I deadened the road noise.Overall I'm pleased but more panels on my car needs to have the uxcell applied to fully realized it's benefits. Will update when the next stage is complete.12/10/2018 update. Recieved another roll to complete the backsides of my interior panels. 6 panels in total. 1 roll is enough for all 4 back pieces and 1 door panel.

Good product.
Easy to work with, waterproof, moisture proof. Exactly what I was looking for. My only concern is if adhesives will withstand Californians’ heat for long periods of time.

Noticable difference
I added this foam to the front doors and rear hatch panels. The interior is noticeably quieter. Unfortunately I would need to purchase more for the rear doors. This would be enough for 4 doors.Product was I stalled in a 1st gen Sequoia. There was a lot of road noise, engine noise and cabin noise. You can now have a conversation and not feel like you have to yell to be heard with in the cabin.I would recommend scissor vs a utility blade or exacto-knife. Over all happy with the product.
