For older MacBook Pros
When I ordered this, I didn't read through the description well enough to see that it was for older macbook pros. While I really needed one for my newer macbook, this does work great on my older one and I'm now able to use my desktop monitor.

Didn't work for me
I tried to connect my MacBook Air to a Samsung 4k TV but it didn't work. After the initial connection, there was a buzzing sound and the picture started to flicker and then got into a loop of reconnecting.

I like this product and works great with my PC, 4 stars because I consider it a little bit pricey. It looks well-built, though.
