Damaged product....
The media could not be loaded. After paying hefty sum, it is thoroughly disappointing to receive the damaged product. Feeling let down. Can the supplier make this good?

A fine compact set of History
This box set is a special edition of Mr. Dalrymple's four major works centering around the East India Company and the impact of its various operations in India.I feel it is a very nice collection to have in one's personal library. If one goes through these four books in accordance with the historical period each represents, it would certainly be a most informative and entertaining journey money can buy ! And the second journey is absolutely free !! For these books can be read again and again as they do not rely exclusively on the "what happens next ?" device. Although that is also there in plenty....but the other charms are more.I personally find the research done and the extensive Bibliographic information located towards end of each volume to be very impressive. We hold these four volumes, each of a few hundred pages, in our hands easily. But each volume represents such a substantial chunk of the author's life and his focused effort on a particular strand of History. Usually, in the introductory part to each volume, Mr. Dalrymple makes a mention of what inspired or led him to choose that specific strand of History and how he magnified it with the use of his considerable talents. All in all, a great purchase. Looks beautiful on the bookshelf - four uniform volumes of one author I have admired since his "White Mughals" days. By the way this book is a masterpiece and perhaps (to me at least) the best he has ever written altho6the recently published "The Anarchy" is a very close contender for top position.

Fascinating
Wonderful book! Shameful behavior by the English tbh. Fascinating insight into the colonial history of a wonderfully rich country!

Understand the past to help understand the present.
Makes me wish I had done History at school all those years ago and now makes me wish I should go to India and see for myself the various historical sites of this fascinating sub-continent.

Exactly as described!
This quartet of books described the horror and background to the East India company, and the fraud that went with it, and takes us through tp the end of the Moghul empire. Fascinating. The buying process was easy; delivery as promised; and the package arrived without damage or injury.
