It works and truly is clear. I don't exactly understand the price of this but it serves its purpose and fits the desk well. Easy to trim, easy to clean, It protects a white art desk well and also resolves the issues of seams in the top of the desk. Smells upon opening but smell the fades. Art and photos could slide under nicely for displaying.

We first purchased this about 5 years ago. We loved it and it stood up very well to years of daily use yet remained clear and looked great. It’s so nice and thick that it protects the wood and table cloths beneath it perfectly. While shipped in a large roll, it quickly flattens out after a few hours and fit the table perfectly - The size was exactly as ordered. We loved it and how it’s so thick and stays nicely in place on the table.While it survived thousands of meals and projects preformed on that table, it could not survive a mother-in-law’s brightly colored reusable holiday bag and we ended up with a perfect copy of the colors and patterns of the bag she left sitting on the table for just a few minutes. There must be some new type of printing process going on as we never experienced anything like this in the prior 5 years, but those color dyes were transferred in to the plastic and would not come out with any cleaners.The new one looks just as good as the original, and retains the nice thick, heavy plastic we loved all those years. And we now know to NOT let people throw their brightly colored plastic bags on our dinning table!

The quality is top notch. It is clear, thick & water resistant. We bought a bit oversized, 2 inches on each side to protect it from chairs hitting the sides of the tabletop, especially given what kids do all day. The package was a roll, which flattened without putting any books or blocks on the corner and didn't leave any signs of bumps after a day. All in all, good option to protect the tabletop, especially given most of them have veneer these days. Took one star off because the price is ridiculous for a piece of plastic.

I purchased this clear table protector for an antique pub table several years ago. It is still being used and has done a its job of protecting the table. It fits tightly to the surface, but you can lift it up to readjust it if necessary without damage to a hand stained table. It has a nice thickness and does look like a glass top if it's cut to fit the table. The seller cuts the protector a little larger than the specifications ordered and it is easy to cut to adjust if you're not sure of your exact measurements. I ordered mine longer than the table due to expanding the end leaves so the protecter does hang over the ends when the table is downsized. It has decent flexibility to do this. If your needs require it, I believe they will cut to your exact measurements. Over several years it is showing signs of wear but that's expected. For the price, it would be hard to find a better item. I'm getting ready to purchase another one for a new table. I've been very pleased with the protector & definitely recommend it.

I had high hopes of this table protector, based on the overall reviews. I had it for a week now, but it’s still not flat. I had it pressed with heavy books, had it exposed to sunlight for days (my dining table get direct sunlight n the afternoon), and finally used hair dryer this morning. Nothing can straight it. Because of the bumpiness, this plastic cover looks cheap. I can only use it to protect my dining table from my cats scratches while I’m away, I can’t have it on when I have guests over.

Exactly. As described, we bought a beautiful rock table that is very expensive and very soft.So I didn't want anything scratching it. I got the exact size that I needed. It came rolled up so I was a little concerned that I would have to try and find a way to keep it from wanting to Roll Up on itself. But to my surprise, all he had to do was lay it out, and within 30 minutes or less, it had adhered itself, Anne was laying totally flat. I could not be more happy.

I bought this clear cover to fit on my dining room table that sits 6 to 8 people. It fits perfectly on the table no cutting needed and looks really great on the table. Clear and smooth.
