i was told before when i was making soap to stop using the flakes because of the dust it puts into the air, so i made the mad search for the lye beads instead. i found this company! it was a pleasure working with them. As a soap maker i have to say not only am i enjoying the no dust, these beads make it so much easier to measure out how much lye i need without going over! I just set the container in one place and take the lid off, i measure how much i need then close the top. Before i would have to struggle to get bottles open of flake lye. Now i can measure out as much as i need for 5 or more batches and never worry about dust, or particals or smell from the lye itself!Pros:No dusteasy to open and dispenseeasy to closenot clumpedgreat for making batches of soapgreat for cleaning drainscons:no cons here sorry!

This product is useful for keeping insects , ants away from house . I would not use around small animals , dogs or cats as they could be harmed.

The bucket came with a sprout that is very very useful. So far I've made over 150 soap bars and the lye has worked fine. Thank you. I will definitely buy again

The reviews on turning to rock (DUE TO NOT CLOSING THE OUTLET UP.) i BEEN BUYING 3-4 YRS NOW AND THE BEADS SO EASY to pour out.) I add to washing machine 1 tablespoon. If you car on car or Dirty work 1/4 cup in tub your clean as hell. But do not try to stand up you will fall and hurt yourself. Great for washing out door air condensing unit add dawn for foam. If it turns to hard just break it you and close the lid. IT does not have close up or will harden up. been buying the 50lbs but they raise price every yr. TO HIGH FOR THE LB Great to clean sidewalks spread a small amount on a slow 1 or 2 day rain you say OMG. Remove grease. It food Grade. CAN CLEAN DEEP FRYER LIKE NEW. AND SAVE TONS OF MONEY$$$$. Handle broke
The product is good, but I cannot open the lid. The red handle that was sent to open the lid broke in 2 places after 1-time use. We used the pour opening to get it out, but that requires 2 people so you don't spill. Really wish they would change the lid. Otherwise great price and product.

Defective product.
Defective product. About three-fourths of this lye was solid as a rock. No way to get it out as top of pail does not come off. Pail only has a pour spout and all I could get out was about a teaspoon of lye. Seller offers refund but you are responsible for return shipping costs which are exorbitant. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!
