School teacher review; I write a lot in pencil (duh). Let's face it, the little pink erasers are good, but not always great. I found these erasers a few years ago and just keep buying more. They work fantastically. The white eraser sticks stay supple and last a long time. Good value!

I have found that latex free white plastic erasers are my absolute favorite for cleanly and completely removing marks. While they are great in the typical block format (such as the popular Staedtler Mars Plastic Erasers,Pack of 4 (52650BK4)) I have found that these work in the same way, but with more convenience and accuracy due to the fact that they're thin and retractable. This particular set is the best deal I've found, and they're perfect for both everyday and artistic applications.In my opinion, nothing erases better than a latex free plastic eraser. They erase cleanly and completely without smudging, nor do they create that pesky fine dust that leaves behind residue on the paper. Regardless of paper type, weight, or tooth, they don't tear or rub away your paper as long as you're using a reasonable amount of pressure and speed. Even though plastic erasers (also known as drafting erasers and vinyl erasers) are harder than most other types, I find that I tear my paper far more often when using soft erasers that stick to my paper and pull it along with them (I'm looking at you, kneaded erasers). They erase even my darkest and heaviest graphite marks- the ones that kneaded, gum, and rubber erasers will all happily leave behind. They also work beautifully with Prismacolor Col-Erase colored pencils and various colored leads. I use these erasers for everything. They're the perfect solution to finding your favorite mechanical pencil (the Uni Kurutoga, of course) only to find that it has a tiny, mediocre eraser on the end of it that you'd have to replace constantly if you used it. They're also my number one art eraser. I use them on my heavy, rough watercolor papers, my lightweight sketchbook papers, and everything in between.For the amazing qualities of a plastic eraser combined with the convenience and precision of a retractable eraser, I highly recommend this set.

As always, I am happy with my purchase as these help me erase precisely in my art pieces. I also love that the shavings of this eraser aren't too messy or small. Quality of these erasers are great, and a pack of 3 lasts me a long time.

Bought the Pentel Clic Erasers for work and love them! The grip is comfortable, and they erase cleanly without smudging. The retractable feature is super convenient. I’d definitely recommend them for everyday use!

I am a teacher, so I use these in the classroom for my students. I use Velcro dots to mount pencils on my door for the students to borrow without asking me (if I were in a higher-traffic area of the hall, I would instead mount the pencils on a highly visible section of the wall). This system works very, very well for me (it's pretty self-regulating--the only thing you need to do is remember to check that all the pencils have been returned before dismissing the students.The only drawback to my pencil-borrowing system is that the erasers wear down far before the pencils do. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hot glue a regular eraser to a Velcro dot (the surface of the eraser is too porous; eventually, the Velcro dot separates from the eraser).That's where these retractable erasers came in. I ordered 2 packs and put a Velcro dot on 5 and then mounted them under the 10 pencils. I was very disappointed that the packs were different colors (one blue pack and one black pack); I would have preferred the erasers to all be the same color. They've worked very well so far (the kids no longer have to ask me for an eraser, they can just get one from the door). The only thing I've noticed is that, since I store them vertically with the Velcro dot near the pocket clip, sometimes the white eraser inside the case falls out and I have to put it back in. Perhaps I will try mounting them upside-down, with the Velcro dot near the protruding eraser end, and see if that resolves the situation. The only other drawback is that the retractable eraser case makes a loud clicking noise when you move the eraser up or down, which can be annoying if a student decides to fiddle with it (though that will stop once you locate the offender and give them your fiercest "teacher look").Overall, this is a good product that erases well and makes my day easier, so I will give it four stars.UPDATE: After using these for half a year, I have had to order more packs multiple times because my students keep breaking off the little gray plastic slider piece. I once experimented with hot gluing this piece back on the external casing unit, and it worked, but a couple of days later it fell off and I had to hot glue it again. I will not knock off a star for this problem because it is a result of rough handling by the students--however, this lack of durability is worth noting if you intend to use this product in a classroom environment. Despite this flaw, though, these erasers are still currently the best products available to (almost) effortlessly lend erasers to students during class time.

Took a statistics course for the first time .. needless to say, I needed to erase a LOT of stuff. I went through the tiny barrel erasers that go on top of the pencil within the first week. Instead of buying replacements of those which costs almost the same as these, I decided to grab a pack of these 3 clic erasers. Perfect because it extends the amount you need with each click and retracts all the way back up, and you can clip your mechanical pencil and this eraser onto your notebook. Erases cleanly with minimal effort.10/10 wish these were around back in the day
