Glass ampoules with Vitamin C serum
I was excited to find these glass ampoules of fresh Brightening serum with Vitamin C on Amazon. I'd come across similar products when visiting pharmacies in Europe. The glass vials took some getting used to as I was worried about breaking open the glass, glass pieces accidentally mixing with the serum, and making sure that the serum didn't spill. The vials come with a soft plastic cap and cover so one's hands are protected when breaking open the vial. The plastic cover can easily slip off and spill the serum, make sure it is properly attached. I've tried another of this series and this Brightening Serum has a light, noticeable scent. Both serums are easily absorbed into the skin and leave the skin feeling soft, hydrated and with no greasiness or stickiness. I have combination sensitive skin and had no redness, irritation or sensitivity.

It took some getting used to breaking the glass, but the product seems to be helping my cirlces
I was a little nervous about using glass vials because the process is kind of new to me. I do occasionally have a weird break, but I have never had a vial break in chips or fall into the product. I usually use a wash cloth that is folded over a couple of times for a thicker towel, cover the vial entirely, and then snap off the top part. Sometimes I get a perfect break at the neck mark, other times I get an odd shaped break. This is the downside for me, however the vials come with an end piece that goes entirely over any of the broken area and protects it from being touched. It also came with a little stand that I can use to keep it upright. Each vial is supposed to be two uses, although I find I can easily get 4 or 5 uses per vial. I apply around my eyes and t-zone area each evening and morning after my regular skin care routine. The scent is mild, although fragrant. I notice it lasting for an hour or longer. I have kind of severe hereditary dark circles and this has genuinely been helping to tone them down. I was skeptical, but after a few uses, I've noticed my periorbital area seems more hydrated and less dull. I still need concealer for a truly hidden look, but it has made an impact. I still have fine lines around my eyes, but with less darkness, even that part is not as noticeable.I tested on my wrist first, and then a little on my under eyes before diving in. I had zero reactions and I typically have sensitive skin. I've had no issues and no additional break outs. I genuinely feel like my skin feels softer. It could be the added hydration, or more attention to my skin. Since I get multiple uses out of each vial, these are worth $20 for the 20 treatments.I was worried about the vial dispensing product, but it actually works well. I just turn the vial over with the dispenser nozzle on, tap it a few times, and let the product get into the clear nozzle. I can then squeeze the nozzle to get a couple drops on my finger tips or directly on my face. It keeps down germs and works well. Mine has a generous expiration date of 06/24 which is more than 3 years out.

Easy to open, use, and store.
My first thought about this product was that the packaging seemed like an unnecessary hassle to open and reseal. According to the product description, Vitamin C products remain most stable when stored in glass containers. Breaking the tip off of the glass vials turned out to be quite easy. I simply followed the directions on the box and used a towel to protect my hands. This serum has a pleasant scent. Each vial contains 2 generous doses for 2 applications. The serum has a thin and watery texture that applies evenly and absorbs quickly. As with most serums that contain hyaluronic acid, this does cause pilling when layered under a moisturizer. For this reason, I prefer to use this right before bedtime. This serum is not very moisturizing, but it does make my face look and feel smoother.

The serum itself is ok. I had a lot of problems dispensing and storing it once opened.
The serum itself is ok. I didn’t see any difference in my skin after using it as directed, but I think you’d need to use it for at least a month to notice. It has a slightly floral scent, is as liquid as water, and didn’t irritate my skin at all.I had a serious problem with the packaging. I have no problem opening the glass vials…if you follow the directions you’ll be fine. I’ve used lots of them and only had one (not this brand) not break cleanly. The problems started when I tried adding the dropper top. If you leave the cap off and push it onto the open vial it works pretty well. If you leave it capped while putting it on it’s just going to pop off again. I also had the top pop off while I was trying to empty half the bottle into my palm. Messy. The base they include didn’t work at all. I put the vial in and pressed hard to make sure it was secure. The bottle popped out of the holder and fell over every single time. I also tried it with an unopened vial and it did the same thing. The worst part was that every time the vial came out of the stand the cap fell off as well so I ended up with wasted product and a mess!I ended up using it by snapping off the glass, pouring 1/2 into my hand and applying it, then capping the bottle with the lid off? Putting the lid on, and standing the bottle in a pencil cup I keep by my bedside. If these were a single dose per ampoule product I’d give it four stars. Too bad. All things considered, it’s not worth the trouble for me and I won’t be ordering again.
