Nice notebook, well-made, very thin, threadbound.
I got this to use as a daily journal. I sat down and wrote my first entry, and I'm pretty satisfied.I use a fountain pen. I tried this journal first with Noodler's Black ink, but it didn't seem to want to absorb and react properly. The pen skated a little and the ink smudged quite a lot well after it would have dried on another paper.I switched to Carbon Black ink, though, and it was fine after that. The ink didn't bleed through at all that I saw, and there was very fine ghosting, but nothing problematic. I like the little tiny 4mm grid. I think this notebook would look nice with kind of a sepia-toned ink. If you write a line per grid row you can fit a lot of information on one page.Aside from not being very compatible with Noodler's ink, this is a nice pleasing little journal.

Best journal
I always use stalogy journals. The price is great. I have several different sizes.

So fresh that I can still smell the tree
The notebook is very durable. It may seem like a steep price for a notebook but I can promise you that the quality is there. The paper has that fresh press smell and the pages dont bleed easy. I wouldnt watercolor on it but It can sure hold the pens ink. It is a little small so i would reccomend it to keep notes for one class or a diary.

Super Thin. Smooth Paper. Perfect Grid Size.
Can't believe how thin this notebook is with 192 pages! Was able to do a monthly spread, about 4 other spreads and daily pages for three months and still have over 60 pages left. You can see the writing through pages a little bit but it's not distracting. The date section at the top really is too faint and tiny to actually be useful, but it's easy to ignore or cover with washi. The grid is a great size and is faint enough that your writing stands out, but it can be used when needed. Looking forward to trying Stalogy notebooks in other sizes once this one is full. So glad I tried it!

Impressive
I usually use Midori MD notebooks but thought I'd try this notebook based on a couple of YouTube videos. I'm impressed. The paper is thin but it doesn't seem to cause an issue with bleed-through. So far I've only tested it with a few fountain pens and inks, but I think I'll like it. It offers a few more pages than the Midori and a bit cheaper.

My Favorite Journal
When I tell you I use these journals for everything, I mean EVERYTHING. I'll repurchase these as many times as I need. I love how ting the paper is but is pretty durable when it comes to pen bleeding. I carry one with me everywhere at all times and they hold up beautifully.

GREAT! but... strong chemical smell.
Great little notebook. Small squares, light grid. Perfect replacement for my leuchtiurm. I like it better. BUT, very very strong chemical smell it takes a few weeks to go away. Which I usually don’t mind, but this is pretty bad. Still like the notebook tho. Just had to air it out ALOT.

As always, perfection
The stalogy has to be by far my most favourite notebook next to Leuchtturm 1917, moleskine and some no-brand notebooks. The paper is smooth and thin, I live for the see through of my gel pens. If bleedthrough and ghosting is not for you, please note that it's very thin tomoe river paper, which is perfect for ballpoint pens and (coloured)pencils. Overall the A5 is perfect, half year and full year wise.

Just as I thought I would be. I like thin paper

Thin paper
Good features, like dates at the top of each paper, but the paper was wafer thin. I don’t usually fuss about paper quality but this was too thin, even for me.
