I purchased these to replace the original comb-guards that came with the Wahl unit, because they no longer clipped securely. I almost purchased knock-off replacements, but decided to spend a little more for the manufacturer's product. These are a great improvement over the all-plastic guards I replaced. The metal clip is a game-changer. The comb-guards fit more snugly and securely than ever. No jiggling or movement. I feel more confident using the clippers now. I wish I'd had these years ago.
