Instant Cold Pack
I tried one of these and it got almost too cold to put directly on the skin, which is Great because you can always wrap it in a cloth when you first begin to use it and then after the cold starts to where off a bit you can put it directly on the skin. I have also found that if it starts to not feel as cold just shake it a little bit more and then re-apply. These are exactly what I was looking for. The instructions are to Shake and Squeeze, I am not sure if that is backwards or not but once you rupture the inside liquid bag by squeezing the bag I shook it up again really good. Works Great.

Awesome for My Game Day Medic Kit
Great price. Works exactly as advertised. Love having a bunch of these in a single box for a price way cheaper than buying them in a pharmacy or big box store. Little hard to squeeze to activate. Squeeze and smack-on-a-thigh works better. Ice cold within 15 seconds. Wish they were a little bit bigger - 6in x 8in would be better for use on a sports field. I used these in the first three soccer games where I took my medic bag for kicks to ankles, knee strikes to thighs, and bloody noses. Exactly what was needed. Will be definitely buying these again and again.

Works as described but wish it was colder
Ice packs are a little difficult to pop, but as someone wrote that is a good thing so they dont burst in shipping. They last a little more than 10 minutes. I wrapped it in a towel at first but could barely feel the coolness. After a few minutes I unwrapped it and put it directly on my skin (no danger of frostbite). It is not that cold like a reusable ice pack. It does the job. I used them 3 times a day for 2 days for a month old injury and the pain was gone, surprisingly.

For parents of athletes . . ..
I buy these and keep them in my daughters' dance bags and competition trunks. You never know when an injury can happen and these are great to have on hand.

Great for first aid, doesn't last long enough for therapy
I am an on-site medic at an outdoor entertainment center and I use these in my EMT pack. They are pretty easy to activate, and the temp on them when activated is perfect WITHOUT WRAPPING it in a towel. I use them without towels and it works great. They only last 5-10 minutes though.. So I would only use it to treat an injured person. Don;t worry about puncturing the bag when activating it. It would take some sweat to rip these bags

Cheaper version and cheaper quality
Cheaper and smaller version than the Ace or other major brands. Overall the quality is worse: they are smaller, less cold, and last less time. Actually might be a good pack if you have children 5-8 or so. Otherwise, I’ll definitely just buy the better Ace instant packs again

Waste of money...
I had to use one of these for the first time this weekend when a friend fell and busted her nose at a restaurant. There are a couple of things that I realized. First, it takes way too much pressure to rupture the inside pouch. I was squeezing so hard, I though I would pop the outside bag. If you don't have a lot of hand strength, you will have a lot of trouble activating the pack. Secondly, even worse, it didn't get very cold and only lasted about 2 minutes. It's pretty embarrassing when you go to help someone and you have to keep apologizing for your gear. I ended up asking the restaurant staff for a towel and ice. In an emergency, you need to have supplies and equipment that you can rely on. This is not it. They have a good rating but I'm not sure why. Save yourself the frustration and buy something else.
