A good representation of an aiport
My son loves this set! I wish I would have bought 2 when they were cheaper. The plane is huge! Will agree with some other reviewers that some parts will fall off with normal-rough play. However, the attention to detail is pretty cool and almost makes up for it. The top is hard to take off and put on to move the minifigs. There is a TSA checkpoint, a conveyor belt for luggage, a rather impressive runway vehicle. Couple this with the cargo plane or another airplane set and some atraight road nameplates, you got an airport without spending a fortune. My son's only regret...he does t have 2 so he had a place to take off and land.I will say this is best purchased when on sale. I remember when $80 was expensive for Legos, and I wish I had all those sets still. This will be one You will want to pass on for years, but I still feel uncomfortable spending 150 on a lego set.

great project for 4 year old and grandma to assemble!
Fantastic! Was a birthday gift for 4 year old grandson who loves lego. It is not recommended for 4 year olds but as a project done with an adult it is wonderful and after building the set a child can easily play with the set on his/her own. The instruction booklets and numbers on the bags made every piece easy to put together. Please note: when a child receives this lego set, they will probably want to open every bag of lego pieces right away. DO NOT let them! Each bag is numbered, the instruction books tell when to open which bag. The 4 instruction books are great; in the top corner is a picture of the 3-5 pieces that you are to assemble (kids that can't yet read are able to use these instructions!)The details on the airplane, airport, and ground support vehicle and trailers is amazing. This is educational as well as fun. Once assembled, my grandson continues to play with the set daily. He adds additional passengers from other lego sets, and creates additional vehicles and buildings from lego bricks he has "collected" over the past couple years. (he began using lego at about 2 yrs old and has both large and small lego)We dedicated a child-size wooden table to the build. Kept all the bags and instruction books on that table for the duration of the build. We spend an hour or so each day for about a week to complete the project. Now that we have built this set, we are preparing to build another large set soon. This was my first experience with lego since childhood (several decades ago) when lego was just a box of blocks to snap together. I am amazed at how advanced lego has become! If you have time to spend with a small child, then do consider building this set together. I am sure that your small child will love it! I don't know who was happier when the build was finished!!

Birthday Wish Granted!
My six year old grandson loves Lego's. His daddy is a pilot so we got him this Lego City Airport for his birthday. Wow! He couldn't wait to put it together! It was organized in bags (which I didn't know) and this prevents overwhelming a little person. At least that's what my son said! He did indeed help our grandson put it together, but that was expected as a father/son project. It is so realistic! I love the tower especially. It has moving parts and all kinds of nifty little things - like luggage! The plane has a bathroom too! This is a great addition to anyone who loves Lego's!

If your kid likes to really play with the sets like mine does (not just bought for building it) be ...
This was bought for my son's 5th birthday. If your kid likes to really play with the sets like mine does (not just bought for building it) be aware that the door of the airplane likes to pop off if it is not opened/closed just the right way with gentle hands. My son is a typical rambunctious boy and is not great at opening/closing things gingerly, so the door presents a bit of a problem for him. He doesn't have the dexterity or patience to snap the two tiny joint pieces onto the little pole just so yet, so whenever the door comes off he gets frustrated and needs help. Which is fine, we help him and he will eventually learn to do it himself, but just wanted to make y'all aware of this in case you have someone who is picky about the door opening and closing easily/correctly :) I know some little ones get fussy about these things!Otherwise, it is a fantastic set that has kept him busy for hours since he received it.

Awesome LEGO set!
This set is HUGE... I mean the plane is huge. I can’t get over how big the wingspan of this set is... the airport area is a nice touch as well. If you’re building a LEGO City, you definitely need an airport with an airplane. You won’t go wrong with this set and you for sure won’t be disappointed in the size of the completed project. Fun build as well.If my review was helpful, please click on 'helpful' below. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.Happy bricking.

Kids love the baggage handling conveyor as much as the jet
Large wingspan. Kids love the baggage handling conveyor as much as the jet. Has been kicked and re-assembled a few times now and still looks like an airliner. The cast body parts don't lend themselves to free builds well, but the tail section minus the stabilizer has been doing double duty as a Star Wars villain ship for weeks. Definitely one of the kids fave Lego builds of 2017.

Brittle pieces breaking left and right
Several of the blue Lego pieces were so brittle that they easily broke when my 9yr old was putting this together. This was not only a Christmas gift but also a reward for his team placing 1st overall in FLL (First Lego League) competition recently. He was so excited to have this set only for that to quickly turn into frustration and then heartbreak once blue Lego after blue Lego crumbled apart. This’s the first time we’ve ever had issues with the countless Lego sets that we’ve gotten our son over the years, and he has several of the expensive sets. For nearly $400, I probably should’ve gotten a Technic set but this’s what he wanted badly.
