Quality, reliable adapter for France and Germany
Took a recent family trip from the USA (where we live) to France and Germany. I bought these adapters specifically because my wife had bought a 250V hearing pad for the bed when we last went to the UK. I didn’t want to buy another one, so I wanted our adapters to work for our US devices and the for the UK plug. These are a solid fit, and also work perfectly in the slightly-different Germany and France plugs. Overall, as advertised, and plan to use them in return trips.

Favorite style of adapter
I purchased these adapters for a trip to Argentina and they worked flawlessly. I have several Types of the OREI adapter and they are very reliable. The reason I keep buying this style is that each adapter has two outlets so I'm able to plug in twice as much as one of those universal block adapters.

Worked well in Italy
I loved that this outlet has the 3 prongs or pins (grounded version) for use in Italy. There is a 2 pin version which is more universal but the 3 pins provides a more secure fit in Italy’s outlets (doesn’t fall out of wall socket) and it provides a grounded connection which should be used if plugging a USA plug w/ the round grounded pin (3 prongs). The 2 pin adaptor is only meant to be used with a standard 2 prong USA plug. Better and safer hairdryers and extension cords will have the round grounded pin & should only be plugged into the 3 pin grounded Italy adaptor. This is an adaptor (NOT a converter) so it will NOT change the electric current & should only be used with items that are rated 110-240. The negative is that the 3 pin grounded outlets are not the standard European outlet so they are only work for Italy (& Chili I think). Unfortunately, I have never seen a 3 pin grounded plug on any of the all-in-one universal adaptors that tend to be so bulky. Also, you should carry at least 1 adaptor that is a 2 prong (standard European) when traveling to Italy. Not every outlet there is a 3 prong. I came across one outlet in my 2 weeks of travel throughout Italy that was a 2 prong outlet. You can plug a 2 pin adaptor into a 3 pin outlet but you cannot plug a 3 pin adaptor into a 2 pin outlet. But I will repeat that you should NOT plug a 3 pronged usa plug (grounded) into the 2 pin Italy adaptor (not grounded) even though you physically can do so.

Type G for UK/Ireland works great, Type C for Continental Europe not so great
Purchased the Type G (UK/Ireland/Hong Kong) version a number of years ago for a trip to Ireland. Really sturdy, worked great, have been using them for 3-4 years now, without fault. Very solid, stay in the 3-pin socket REALLY WELL, zero complaints. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.Purchased the Type C (Continental Europe) version this year for a trip to Switzerland/Austria. Unfortunately, this version does NOT work so well, for a couple of reasons...[1] the adapter has a main body, from which a smaller sub-body sticks out, and that smaller sub-body has two pins. the problem I ran into with 90% of the outlets in Switz/Austria/Germany is that the sub-body is not deep enough for the majority of continental electrical outlets, which means the electrical pins do not go deep enough into the holes in the outlets for them to get a solid enough grip or "purchase" on the outlet. this meant that the adapter felt very loose, and when you plugged a phone/tablet USB charger into the adapter, it would more than likely pull the adapter out of the socket far enough to either disconnect or fall out completely. I measured the depth of a number of the outlets, and compared that to the adapter, and the sub-body would need to be at least 3-5mm deeper to give the electrical prongs enough depth to hold steady in the outlets[2] in Switzerland, many buildings have combination 3-in-1 outlet sockets which conserve space and allow for more devices to be plugged in. however, the blocky shape of this adapter will only allow 1 adapter to be used in this type of outlet, and it may block the ability to insert other plugs into the outlet at the same time.As a result, I can't recommend the Type-C adapter for Continental Europe, and would suggest you look on Amazon for adapters that don't have a block body (something more like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T1FYBM4 instead)
