Q: Is this bag waterproof?

The inside of the bag fabric is treated with waterproofing, the only possibility of some water seepage would be through the zippers in an instance of heavy rain. I would categorize it as water resistant.

Q: How much weight will it hold? I need 2 waterproof duffel bags, one to hold camping equipment and the other to hold clothes. Each should hold up to 50 lbs and have wheels.

It's made to hold a full set of fire turnout gear including whatever tools a person carrys. It should work fine for clothes and camping gear. As far as water proof goes the bag is made to hold and transport gear...not so much for outdoor use

Q: Does this bag have wheels?

Yes, the maltese cross/firefighter bag has wheels, or at least mine does. I'm guessing the non-firefighter bag doesn't have wheels, which would explain the responses saying there aren't any.

Q: Does the side pocket fit a helmet with a shield

Yes it does. They are really nice.
