JH558 Hidden Wall Safe, 0.4 Ounce, Off White

A little flimsy, but loved an older one I had, This one although not the same quality as one made in the 60's is a worthwhile possession.Suggestion, hide it in a closet where you keep a vacuum cleaner.Not easily noticed but if a thief looks, they would assume it is a logical place for an outlet.

I thought this was a good idea but the plastic is way cheaper than the frame on a normal socket. It doesn't look right when you look directly at it. The box that sets in the wall is really brittle and the joints of the box started to break just taking it out of the box. I was scared to put anything in it since over time it could crack and I might lose something in the wall.

This works great, but keep a few things in mind when setting it up. First, you don't want it along any walls that act as the edge of vents, or any cash stashes you have will get sucked up and blown around and lost forever. Second, you may need to do a little painting to camouflage this outlet to make it look like the rest of your outlets. Third, don't put it anywhere near any utilities that you are really going to want to plug in. That just gets annoying, and after a while it seems like the wall safe is mocking you.

This safe is okay, it works as stated but looks cheap - and does not look like the rest of the outlets in my home - this one is quite yellow in color. The construction is also cheap, due the color and quality can only give 3 stars.

for the money its cool. you can hide some stuff pretty well for way less than i regular safe. Feels cheap and might break soon from taking it in an out but so far so good after 2 weeks. lock can be opened with fingernail but the purpose is really camouflage, not strength. also dont bother with the saw, just use your own dremel and install took about 3 mins. maybe less..i give it about a B. Mostly for how good it looks. It matches my other outlets which is cool, they are only slightly dif.

Easy to install, just make sure to use template to make the right size hole in the wall, if too small you'll end up breaking it, if you try to shove it in. I'm an electrician and i would not be able to tell the difference. The plastic is kinda cheap, but i reinforced all corners and sides with a little Guerrilla Glue. Take your time to install and it should last for a long time.

This item was a JOKE! It is made of cheap plastic, which cracked in two while trying to instal it. It looks as if a child made it, the so called keys are nothing short of a flathead. No instructions with it and the lock is not even attached to the safe itself so it falls straight into the wall where it now is laid to rest. I bought this because somehow or another my cash always comes up missing when i have company over. I got this and was suprised at the fact it looked faded like a electric outlet that had been there for a long time, so it wouldnt stick out as the only perfectly white outlet in the house. It installed easly, and the "key" it comes with can go on your key ring and no one will ever know what it is for. I will buy another and maybe a couple as christmas presents.
