Satisfactory for a value canopy
For a light weight, inexpensive canopy, thie prodict is very good. As in other reviews, the instructions are not very clear (fuzzy, dark , small photos), but after watching a U-tube video , it is not too difficult. Definitely a two-person job, especially since this canopy is 12' long. Overall satisfied. Why spend more money, because the canvas of the more expensive products will eventually deteriorate, and need replacement.

Pain to assemble...yes. worth it...yes.
Like other reviews...the instructions were horrible. Photos and diagrams were not very clear on what to do. I put it together and took it apart several times before it was right. It's much easier if there are 2 people when threading the material thru the little slots. We did have to add a 4x4x12 under our eaves where we were planning on installing it, so we ended up spending another 50 bucks at the hardware store. Make sure you have about a foot clearance top to bottom where you wiIl be installing it (we had 8" and it would not fit) I would suggest laying all the awning parts out on the lawn and start there. Its also nice if you have a furry friend to hold everything down for you....but not necessary. After about 6 hours, we finally got to enjoy it. Definitely worth every penny and we are loving it now. Our patio stays much cooler now! Ordered the light gray. 12' x 8'.

Nice product
I wasn’t sure what this would be like at this price but was pleasantly surprised. Good design and quality. The biggest difficulty is following the assembly instructions. They are not well written and the illustrations are terrible. I have put together many things and did not have any issues getting it assembled. Looks great and works well.

Pretty good one
I used this for almost a year now. It is still good. It is little tricky to assemble and mount to the wall. I had to watch youtube videos many times and tried different ways before I completed the installation.

Cheap design and poor instruction manual. DO NOT BUY
Brought new from Amazon on June-2022 and wanted to install before it gets too hot. To start with, the product quality is really really cheap. The assembly instructions were literally translated from Chinese to English and its horrible to understand. The manufacturer should have added disclaimer that installers should know engineering to assemble. In instructions book, they manufacturer said, assembly video available at request and when I tried reaching to AOSOM, the customer service responded their platform doesn’t support video and no assistance was provided. There is no label on parts which goes front and what facing it should be. Worst part is the fabric was torn when inserting into the front rod, because the ends were sharp.Definitely not worth unless you have more time to assemble back and forth and communicate with customer service for broken parts. Very cheap design. Poor customer service. Worst installation manual ever seen.

Installation comments.
I have just finished installation of our awning. It looks well constructed, fabric is sturdy, and it looks nice. Installation: you will need all metric wrenches and drill bits. Installation manual is not detailed enough. Fortunately there is a decent installation video on YouTube (not that one on Amazon). Concrete/masonry anchors (for attaching whole thing to the wall) do not inspire too much confidence. In retrospect I would use Tapcon concrete/masonry screws (properly sized) instead.

Terrible Instructions
Like- For the price its a fine awning. Once assembled it mounted to the wall of my house easily. It is easy to extend and retract and is attractive looking.Dislike- Materials are a bit cheap, tarp is thin and did develop a small rip during assembly when my wrench slipped off a bolt I was tightening.Hate- The instructions are a waste of time, tried three times following them precisely, eventually scrapped them and did it myself; which worked. The directions are poorly translated into English so I assume some key words were miswrote or the essence of the words originally used were lost because in their current form they are nonsensical and vague. The pictures included are also deceiving, in step 2 a picture shows which way the main bar should be facing while attaching the tension bar. You can see a cut out slot on one side of the bar facing down with an arrow pointing down; therefore one might assume the side with the slot should be on the bottom. No it should be on the side, something I did not discover till step 11 did not work.Amusing- I must give the instructions some credit though as they do thoroughly warn you to be careful about releasing the tension bar before complete installation. The illustration they chose to illuminate the danger is worth a giggle, it is a devilish looking character having a good time before getting struck in the head. Why they opted to use this imagery is unknown however.

It seems pretty good.
I was able to install this mostly by myself though it did take me longer. The instructions aren't the best but you can follow them pretty easy by using the pictures. It's kinda floppy if you have any real wind but I think if I anchor the outside corners with some rope it will help with that. It would be great if the crank handle was longer, makes me have to stretch a bit to open and close it. Otherwise it does pretty well.
