Great piece of kit
Very easy assembly, chips and ideal size for weed suppression and mulch. Reasonably quiet, works at a good speed and deals with fairly thick branches. Highly recommended. Good price.

As good as it looks
Simple online assembly instructions and a neat appearance first persuaded me. It has lived up to expectations and chewed through a mountain of garden waste without difficulty, leaving a neat pile of chippings. Apart from the lead emerging in front of where you empty the box, it is well designed and powerful. Well worth the investment.

Does a great job.
I bought this to replace an ancient Al-Ko shredder which worked really well until suddenly it didn't :-( I was using this to dispose of about 25 metres of mature Privet hedge. The Hyundai shredder worked well from the get go, and cuts the stems into rough chunks which clearly will break down into a nice mulch. I have got through nearly half the hedge - some stems are just to old and too woody to shred and I've quickly learned to cut some of the twisty stems to they don't jam up s they feed in.The unit not very manoeuvrable although the wheels help, but there is no obvious place to hang the non-detachable cable in-spite of the nice cable hanger provided. This is why I only gave it 4-stars for usability.

Excellent value for money.
I’ve had a couple of shredders and chippers over the year. My advice is always to go for a shredder over a chipper, which frustratingly get jammed a lot as it relies on a spinning wheel. This shredder is gravity fed and simply munches on the vegetation, producing small cut pieces of wood. This looks to be based on the far more expensive Bosch, which retails for around £425. I’ve used one in the past and I think this compares favourably with the Bosch and is over £200 cheaper. The engineers and product designers have done a good job. The unit is super easy to assemble. The attached legs swing out, you insert the axle and screw the wheels. That’s it. You are good to go.One feature I really liked are simple ones that really helped. The collecting basket is opaque so you can easily see how much shredded material you have produced. There is also a grill opening that makes looking in easy. The shredder has forward and reverse functions as well as a reset button. You can vary the cut by the tightening/loosening wheel. To adjust my old model you needed to adjust by Allan key. This is easy in comparison.I thought the cut was excellent, producing neat, uniform, pieces which are perfect to put on your compost bin or scatter around the garden for it to decompose.Locally, we have to pay for our green bins so the shredder offers either the opportunity to msximise what you get in your bin, or something that greatly reduces composting time or for you to scatter in your garden. For the price it’s a bargain.

Very Powerful and Quiet
The media could not be loaded. Assembling this product was very straightforwards - simply attach the wheels to the legs that spin round and then attach the waste box with its built in locking mechanism. It comes with a decent cable length too regardless of whether you're plugging it to a socket indoors or outside (approx 10 metres This took me a maximum of 10 minutes to get it ready to go. Its now a very sturdy unit although definitely won't store back in the box! It absorbs branches from one side to the other pretty swiftly and quietly in relative terms considering the operation it's performing. It is capped at 4cm wide branches so I have had to cut a few of them down where they start much thicker. I have noticed it's a little trickier with the wider branches as you do often need to break them down a bit more first which is slightly painful so they can all fit together into the shredder and also when it's just the smaller twigs with a lot of leaves they don't always gracefully go through the blades and you have to prod them along a bit. A slightly wider insert profile may assist there. The storage box keeps plenty in it - I found myself emptying it after about 10 large branches and really minimises it's bin profile. I've been largely impressed so far and it's justifying its price on the top of the range from a well reputable brand.

Paid for itself in less than one day's use
For the past 10 years I've been laboriously cutting thorny branches by hand to put in the bin, and have often avoided the unpleasant task. So at last I decided to buy this shredder. Now the task is so enjoyable I can't wait to get out and cut back my overgrown trees and shrubs! The shredder just loves to "eat" the branches - everything that fits in the slot gets chopped up, however long the pieces are. The motor is quiet and unstressed. The bin is easy to empty and pour onto a neat compost pile. The shredder was delivered very quickly; it is easy to assemble and safe to use - 14 pages of safety information and 2 pages of instructions. The main hazard comes from the top of long branches which twist as they are drawn in, so use the PPE suggested.Compared to the cost of employing a contractor to tidy the garden this clipper paid for itself by the end of the day it was delivered.

Great shredder
Brilliant shredder, worked better than my expectations after a couple of uses. Good size chippings box. Easy to set up.

It does a good job
I have lots of hedges (and lots of compost heaps) and this is my third (or fourth?) garden shredder - i've worn out the others over the years..This one works well, its not too noisy. It is heavy (which indicates a powerful motor) and I intentionally chose a "big motor" model, from experience. This one chops fresh cuttings up to about 1" thick without too much effort.I would prefer it to have a transparent hopper so that I could more easily see when it is full or needs a shake up. Other than that I'm pretty pleased with it so far.
