Perfect fit for Kia Optima Hybrid 2017
This product is a perfect fit for my Kia Optima Hybrid. The trunk would not stay shut due to a malfunctioning switch. I watched one YouTube video on how to install and it was so easy. It took me about 15 minutes to install and put the trunk liner back on. Lock works perfect now!!Easy tip: Use a fork to pry up the black clips on the liner. Pull up on the first part of the clip and they come right out!Definitely recommend!!

Fixed trunk latch electrical issues
2016 Optima had the trunk light not come on (bulb tested good) and auto open with fob in vicinity the actuator and warning would continue to operate after trunk open.This was a reasonable replacement a great price. Easy to install. (You tube vids also). Problems solved! Unknown as to the durability of the part. The trunk is rarely used so this, as of now, was a good choice.Not sure if this can survive daily trunk slamming. It appears to be well built though. It comes with a release cable that I did not use. I was able to attach the existing cable without issue.A good budget fix!4 stars only because of unknown durability at this time

i fixed my trunk with just a YouTube video and this piece
Two days before I was supposed to leave on a road trip and my trunk broke. No shops nearby were able to fix the trunk by the time I was supposed to leave so I turned to Amazon and YouTube and ended up fixing my trunk in about twenty minutes. So happy the shipping was fast and the piece worked perfectly. I also saved a few hundred dollars lol
