This lamp is gorgeous. It really helped to transform the feeling of our bedroom. It came nicely packaged and it only took me a little while to assemble it and install the fixture. I didn't need any assistance from my husband aside from fetching the wire cutters while I looked over the instructions. If you have some experience with wiring fixtures it should be simple. The glass is beautiful whether it's lit or unlit. The photos I added don't do it justice at all. At night it gives the room a very warm tan sort of tone because of the light coming through the colored glass. It takes 3 regular sized light bulbs so that was a big plus for me because too often I have to buy specialty bulbs instead of use the same that I use in everything else. I would buy more of these if I had a good place to put it because I love it so much!!

Beautiful real stained glass. Amazing for the price. Definitely requires some patience and persitance to asseble but well worth it. As the picture shows, I used it on a lower ceiling but it comes with a long chain for higher ceilings.

We decided to replace our original "vanilla" (i.e. "drab") dining room light with something a little more striking. Let me tell you this light did that in spades.Everyone who visits complements and like most everyone here says, and I agree, this light is beautiful. Because of the color of the fixture, it provides a nice warm glow to the room, with plenty of light if needed (I did install it on a rheostat switch, and that helps, as I can change the amount of light, depending on what we need). By the way, I'm no electrician by any stretch, but was able to install this light with no problem. Could not be happier. Would definitely buy it again.

Be careful buying “ Like new”….we purchased this a few months ago, and just had it installed only to find out the rod and finial that holds the globe on was missing! So frustrating…

This light is seriously gorgeous. I'm always a little weary of buying things like this on Amazon and not from a light store, but this has far surpassed my expectations. Heavy duty, great quality. Easy to put together and install. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but since I've installed lights before I could figure it out. It may be difficult for beginners. Comes with a very long chain so it can be hung from a high ceiling. This appears smaller than it is, it's actually pretty big, which is perfect.

The lamp looks better than I thought it would and really improves the room where we put it. The colors are better and the surface is more 3-D than comes across in the picture. We put 13-watt flourescents (supposedly 60-watt equivalent) in it, which aren't really quite bright enough, but that's not the lamp's fault. The yellowish-ness of the glass improves the color of flourescents. Two minor warnings: 1) The installation instructions are pretty bad -- if you do exactly what they say, you'll never get this thing hung. But it's not hard to figure out by yourself. 2) The lamp sockets sit a little too low in the fixture, which makes them inconveniently close to the inside surface of the shade when trying to screw bulbs into them. There is some discretion in the assembly on exactly how high the sockets end up, but not enough to make it possible to, say, install normal 26-watt spiral flourescents, which would fix the brightness problem. It's possible there are brighter bulbs that would be small enough to fit, but we haven't looked yet. We installed it about two weeks ago, and so far we're really happy with it -- would definitely buy it again.

Just wow, this really looks great, looks far more expensive than what I paid and even looks like it could be vintage to the 1938 home. It was a tough install by myself with lots of threading-of-wire-through-parts but it turned out really nice. Makes a huge difference compared to the junky and eye-blinding light it replaced; this offers soft and sophisticated light with great pops of color. This makes the room and really sets the tone for the whole place. Arrived in perfect shape which is a miracle but not a single piece of glass was out of place or dinged up.
