Colman's Shepherd's Pie Mix, 1.75-Ounce Packages (Pack of 16)

I bought a pack of 16 of these 4 months ago and finally got around to trying it. The package says it makes 4 servings. In the US, when a package or recipe says it makes 4 servings, it means 4 servings only if you are serving lots of sides. I decided I should double the recipe to make sure we had enough for dinner and some leftovers. I have so much food! My husband loved it and had seconds. I had been sneaking tastes while making it, so only had one serving at the table. And I have enough to freeze for 3 more meals. This does make a hearty meal. But the best part is that it is SO good! This is the best Shepherd's Pie I have ever had. I used ground beef, and I used frozen peas and carrots because I didn't have fresh (will do that again - it was perfect). This will be in a regular rotation in our house. Easy, delicious and so satisfying!

I love this product had bought it in the grocery store for a greater price. You have to buy a lot of them, but it’s a much better price than buying it one by one. It makes a good shepherds pie.

Like it save me time and effort. Makes best Cottage pie (I use ground beef). Great if Mushrooms are added as well as peas and carrots.

Just like mother used to make. Isn't that what we're all supposed to say? Well, in my case, it's true - since I left England I miss good traditional English cooking more than ever. This shepherds pie mix is easy to use, delicious and popular - friends appear from nowhere after I've baked with it and it disappears far too quickly. I recommend it for the ultimate in comfort food.

This mix was recommended by my British neighbor. It is an easy evening meal especially if you use some frozen peas & carrots and dehydrated potatoes!
