Finlandia/Harvia FLB-80/KIP-80B Sauna Heater, 8kw 240v/1ph, Maximum 425 cubic feet

My sauna is about 330 cubic feet (cb) which is less than the recommended maximum of 425 cb. The heater works great! I put the temperature sensor where I wanted to be so that I get high temperature in the sauna. I only tested it as a dry sauna, and wet sauna is yet to come :). First I put the sensor where it is "prescribed" i.e. up the ceiling. But then the temperature on the benches would barely get to 100F, so now with moving the sensor lower it works like a charm. Having windows does not make an impact to the temperature either - with the sensor placed where it is. I was thinking of replacing the windows with the thermal windows to match the door, but the temperature goes high enough that it is not necessary. The bottom line - move your temp sensor location if it does not heat as much as you expectedIt has been couple weeks now and I have been using my new sauna every day. LOVE IT!Re: seller - it was shipped very fast (I received it less than a week from the order date). Re: install: - my electrician installed it in a jiffy, no issues whatsoever. Powerful Sauna. Heating elements have a coating that takes about 2 hours to burn off (smoky). I put this in my bathroom which I don't recommend. All of your body wash will cook.Very easy to wire, but the instructions are very confusing. The model isn't found anywhere on the unit, and every single models' wiring diagram is listed in the booklet.The rocks included are very large and requires a game of tetris to get in between the elements.This one is 8kw. For Americans it requires a double 40 amp breaker using 8/2 copper (1 ground and 2 powers)It runs on a 1 hour timer and it must be reset if you want to extend it. Anyone with some electrical knowledge can probably work around this with a new controller.It gets my master bathroom to about 150 in an hour even while having nothing but a towel at the bottom of the door to block the air.A second benefit to having this in your house is that you don't need to run the heat.

We live an abundantly Finnish community where sauna’s are taken seriously and everyone who has seen ours is very impressed. It heats quickly and has been a fantastic investment. Highly recommend.

The original unit we ordered was back ordered, the vendor emailed us the next day & asked us if we would like to trade out for a different finish color that was in stock. They shipped the substitute color option immediately & refunded us a couple hundred dollars for lesser cost item. Everything runs wonderfully! The unit heats our 315 CU FT sauna perfectly. VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

This heater came with the sauna package I bought from Costco some time ago. Two years ago it started tripping the circuit breaker within a few seconds of turning it on. My electrician called the support line and was told it was a known issue and to not install it on a GFI circuit (which would be illegal where I live). We replaced the heater (this purchase) and two years in, it is happening again. No response from the seller.
