Long-lasting design, easily replaceable parts
This is the fourth Danner pump I've bought. The oldest is now 19 years old and still in use. The other two are about 15 years old and one was used submerged in a skimmer for about ten years. The stator is solid and waterproof to the extreme, as far as I can tell. I keep a replacement stock of rotors and volutes as those are wear and tear items. I bought this as a backup because I was thinking "How much longer can the other ones last?" Still going. I don't know why I would buy anything else.

Excellent pump. Our first one ran 24/7 9 months a year and has lasted 10+ years. Has worn out impeller socket but still runs but not as good so bought a new one

Lasted long & performed well
We bought our pump in July of 2012. We are in Minnesota so every year we pull it out in the fall and insert it in the spring. Last year on the day we went to pull it out for winter, it finally died. It lasted longer than we thought it would. We never had any problems with it. From the info I've gathered it was just the right size for our pondless waterfall. The waterfall width is about 12", vertical rise about 4 ft & horizontal distance about 15-20ft. We're considering buying another one just like it.
