I process mine 10 minutes in a boiling water bath canner. It can then be stored on the shelf at room temperature, and makes a nice gift. Any that is not sealed this way should be kept in the refrigerator.

Q: What is the self life of an unopened can?

At least a year or more. We can't keep it much over that time because we eat it to quickly. If you want English Marmalade this is as good as it gets.
