Pump works great , primes fast and has no leaking. People complained about the hose hard to straighten out. Just put it over a mop or broom handle put it in the sun for a bit or hit it with a hair dryer, no problem then.

I looked and looked for something that was small and not expensive to drain a small three tiered fountain for cleaning. Either they were very expensive plug-in type models or ones that did not have good reviews and didn’t look substantial enough. This one seemed to be the best in between and it’s ok for a small fountain. First of all, get ready to use your muscles because there’s a lot of pumping to get water out of the fountain. You can’t get 100% out so I used towels to get out the rest. I can’t imagine using this in something bigger like a boat or canoe! At the end, you have to make sure that you turn it so that the water fully comes out of the hose otherwise it will drip all over when you go to put it away. Also, the hose was really stiff in one direction, which made it hard for me to get the right angle that I wanted to pump. It’s OK. It disconnect from the main body one time but I could push it right back on.
