Schwalbe Glueless Patches Puncture Repair, Clear, Pack of 6

These clear patches are for TPU tubes and i've used them on Schwalbe Aerothan with a lot of success. The Aerothan tubes are smooth without the ridges you get on butyl tubes and the patches are large which means it's easy to get a good airtight repair. I don't use sandpaper on the aerothan tube as Schwalbe says it's not necessary but it is important to make sure they are clean so I wipe it down with ethanol before applying. The patches are a little fiddly to detach and very sticky so some care is needed but part from my first repair where I had two patches on top of each other they have all gone well and the tube performs like new. I haven't had any fail yet after over 1000 miles riding. Given the price of the tubes it's good that you can make them last.

I’ve been using these on AeroThan tubes on the track and can pump them up to 120 PSI.It is losing pressure over the next day or two, so it is not a permanent solution, but on a track bike, I do not mind as I use it in frequently.I also found that the first patch failed as there was some talc or residue on the tube initially.That was my fault, and not your fault of the productThe little container that they arrived in makes a point of saying that they are specifically for use with aeroThan tubes

Beware! I wanted to carry patches for my Butyl inner tubes. The box, as shown, does not specify that these patches are for TPU tubes, but when it arrived it had an additional sticker on it specifying 'TPU only!'Unfortunately, I opened the seal on the box before realising.
