Easy to see on fabric and easy to erase
These things are wonderful! I've used all four colors several times - sometimes it's helpful to not press so hard and let the ink flow out gently if that makes sense. But I love these and the marks completely disappear with my iron.

Pleasantly surprised .. like magic!
I can’t believe how easily the ink just disappears! Barely held the iron near it and poof, material was completely clean, without a trace! So much easier to use, no chalk dust everywhere and you can be far more precise in your markings. I’m a major fan! That said, several didn’t seem to work, to write I mean. For the price I’m not complaining, bound to be some duds here and there.. or maybe I have t gotten the hang of it.

Great pens
These worked great for tracing a pattern on top of my quilt. I don’t have a large quilting table so I’m having a hard time using a template, and I thought these would make it easier if I just trace the template pattern right where I want it on the quilt then all I will have to worry about is moving the quilt instead of trying to move the quilt following the template, and trying to keep the template still with enough pressure to move it all. If you quilt you know this is a challenge if you don’t have a long arm or a desk where you can drop your machine in. If this is a goal for you too, these pens are great. So far I’ve only used the red, but it shows up just enough and goes away when heated. I love that they’re refillable and come with many refills as well. They’re much better than those disappearing fabric pens. I think those ones disappear over time rather than with heat, but I’m not sure, I’ve only used them once a long time ago, but I do know that they dry out fast, don’t show well on darker colors, and they’re expensive for just one pen. These are a much better deal!

What a discovery!
I have been sewing for my whole life and had never heard of these heat disappearing ink pens. I was continually frustrated with sewing pens that didn’t fade or wash away easily. I will never go back! I highly recommend these pens- great quantity for the price and the variety of colors helps on different fabrics. I’m so relieved to have these.

Not made to use on fabric
These are super cheap pens, even the clear barrel casings are barely more sturdy than picnic condiment bottles. Ink barely works on fabric (all tested on basic cotton), all comes out very scratchy and dry and requires going over several times per line drawn. Beware of inconsistent ink flow, heavy glob at press down and then they run dry the longer your stroke is drawn out (within two inches of drawing). My experience with the colors: Black works the best of them, but usually is very ashy and faint more often than not, blue works second best. Red literally vanished after 2-3 minutes of using it, every single time. All three of these colors leave behind clearly visible dark marks once exposed to heat and the ink turns "invisible." White goes on invisible but oily and then shows up faintly within a minute. Just doing basic testing on the fabric, I went through half of one of the refill sticks!! That is a lot of ink in such a short test! I returned my set of pens.

Works Great
I recently started embroidering and bought these pens as a cheaper way to mark fabric as I didn’t want to invest a large amount of money into this hobby as a beginning. However, I’ve found these pens work great for the price! I don’t have an iron, so I hit my pieces with a blow dryer for a few seconds and the pen marks disappear pretty quickly. I think the price is a great deal for these pens.I’ve included before and after photos of one of my pieces so you can see the pen marks in the after have disappeared once hit with some heat.

Don't buy these marking pens
I bought the pens for the white ones. You have to press really hard and go forwards and backwards on the fabric several times to make them stand out even a little bit. I'll stick with Pilot Fusion pens even though they don't have white.
