Excellent option for amateur divers to take advantage of your phone's awesome camera
I got this after looking at various "traditional" underwater housings for dedicated cameras. I was frustrated both at the cost and the fact that my phone has phenomenal cameras built into it already. Also, it's much easier to edit, save, and share photos directly from my phone. The housing works as intended and requires a companion app you install on your phone. The case itself is clearly well thought out and engineered, and the one I purchased exhibited excellent build quality. It came with good instructions and everything you need to get started (except maybe batteries? I can't recall). It even comes with a very high quality case to keep it safe while traveling. NOTE: I did the initial seal tests before my trip and bought some extra Moisture Munchers for minimizing potential humidity in the case. I also played with the software which was quick to figure out and generally intuitive. The housing worked flawlessly across a dozen dives and a bunch of snorkeling. The only complaint I have (if any) is that once you put your phone in there, you can't easily access it again until you have a chance to dry the housing or at least wash it thoroughly with clean water. Regardless, the pictures came out great and the only thing that I regret is not playing more with my phone's autofocus settings beforehand.

WAY better than a GoPro!!
I'm so glad I got this case instead of paying $500+ for a GoPro + accessories. This camera is super solid, definitely designed for scuba diving and is easy to use with a small learning curve. It's rated to 130ft, though I've taken it down a little over 140 with no problems. The app has a lot of functionality, is easy to use and doesn't need touch screen; it uses the buttons on the side. I used this case with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and had to remove all the rubber tabs inside but it fits just fine. This camera comes with a red filter! I missed that in the description and ended up ordering a red filter. I should have gotten a yellow to use with a UV light or some other accessory.I highly recommend getting this if you dive or snorkel. You get iPhone (or whatever smartphone you have) quality photos and videos. Everyone I dove with was super impressed with the quality of it. My friend had one of those cheap waterproof phone cases, which worked fine and kept the phone dry while snorkeling, but the iPhone kept trying to focus on the case itself. With this dive case, that is not an issue at all. I did have trouble focusing during night dives, but that's not the fault of this case, that's an iPhone issue.

Take your time with the set up
I really like the amazing pictures I got using this housing with my IPhone 12 Pro. It’s very easy to set up, and syncs easily using Bluetooth technology. The leak test takes 3 minutes to complete, and if it fails for some reason ( not often) you have to open the housing, switch the unit ( housing) off, and back on again, this only happened to me once. I would not recommend doing this on a rocking boat however. Try to complete the setup as close to the actual dive as you possibly can because your iPhone battery will drain quickly, mine lasted for 1 3/4 dives until dead. I had 100% on the phone pre-dive. I shot 206 pictures, and seven 2 to 3 minute videos. There is a really good 38 minute video on YouTube on how to work this amazing item. I no longer have to lug a Huge underwater camera on dives. The pictures you can take with your iPhone are breathtaking. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, one video said not to use lithium ion, but didn’t say why, I used Duracell alkaline. All in all although some may say “pricey “ but it does so much. It’s rated for 130 feet, but these days I don’t go much below 60, or 70 feet max, since I’m older. You will need to order more moisture munchers because they only give you one, I got like 10 on Amazon for 20 bucks. I’m very happy with this housing, and plan on using it again, and again. The case is nice that comes with it too, compartments for everything. I would definitely recommend this to my dive buddies. One last thing I didn’t like is when the low battery warning on your iPhone screen comes on, there is no way ( that I know of) to clear it since you can’t physically touch the screen, but it will still take pictures, and videos.Hope this helps.LBRRTNPS

Don’t waste your money, app deletes videos/doesn’t retain them.
The only positive with this device is the hardware, it seemed to work as designed. The app on the other hand is completely worthless. I saved up money for 3 years to go to Bora Bora for my honeymoon and purchased this specifically for the trip after seeing someone using it a few years ago in Jamaica. The setup is pretty easy but the issue is the app itself. I would “record” video only to watch it stop recording after 5-10 seconds. It would routinely stop recording during takes, delete or fail to retain the videos it did “record”, and caused me to lose the video footage I explicitly wanted. I can’t begin to tell you have pissed I am that I spent 3 years saving to go on a trip of a lifetime and wanting to record all of this beautiful sealife as part of it so that I could memorialize this experience, only to have this worthless app fail to deliver. This occurred on every scuba and snorkel trip I took while using this product. I spent over $15k on this trip and $400 for this junk only to come away feeling like I was ripped off and part of my trip being ruined because of what happened. I should have just stuck with my GoPro to actually deliver what I wanted. Don’t waste your time with this!!!!
