Love for Face
Just a disclaimer: I bought and use this for the purpose of skincare use.I bought this product a month or so ago and have been using it religiously every day, morning and night, in my skincare routine. I heard about it from a YouTube beauty guru who said it was good for those who are acne-prone or who have active breakouts because it calms the skin. She uses the oil from the Sibu Beauty brand but decided to go for this one because of the better reviews. I don't regret my decision. I absolutely love this product as of late for multiple reasons. The oil is moisturizing for the face but doesn't leave my combination oily skin greasy. The skin can get greasy if I use any more than 2 small drops (placed in the palm of my hand and rubbed together with the other to warm up) just as with every other oil I've tried (or in general). I also found that it definitely calms down any active breakouts. Every natural product has a pungent smell to it, and this product is not an exception. Even though I never mind stinky products, I had to get used to the smell of this one because I use Shiseido's Ibuki skincare line and Shiseido is a highly perfumed brand, and the mix of scents was overpowering. However, the scent of this oil dissipates as soon as it's absorbed into the skin, and that takes about a minute or so which I spend gently patting the oil into my skin. It does not leave an orange tint to the skin. I will mention that the dropper doesn't screw onto the bottle correctly anymore, but I believe that was my fault because I may have accidentally screwed it on too aggressively and it bent the dropper slightly to the side. All in all, this is a fantastic oil that I'll be using all year round.

It works good on scalp and skin.
This works really well for skin and hair. I think I had mites in my hair because of constant itching but now it's gone when I put a few drops in my hand with shampoo. It also adds a nice texture and thickness to my hair when mixing a few drops in conditioner. The scent isn't too pleasant but it's manageable. I also use a few drops in with my moisturizer day and night and I really can see a difference in my skin. I can't put my finger on what is different but my complexion seems to be more even toned and smooth and I think I can even see that it made these creases on cheek pads diminish considerably, which I am thrilled because I thought perhaps the creases were here to stay due to 25+ years of pulling and pressing cheeks when putting in contacts all these years. Now I'm starting to wonder if other people's reviews are correct, that rosacea and or acne is caused by the demodex mites and the subsequent bacteria and other residues...they leaves behind. The oil is very orange but I have olive skin and am very tan so the oil doesn't appear to make my face orange. I'm also taking biotin supplements so that could also be a contributing factor. I will continue to use the oil once I stop the biotin to see if I get continued results. Nonetheless the oil does stop the scalp itching and or kill demodex mites.

WHAT the...?
I have problem skin. A touch of rosacea, a touch of regular outbreaks and combination skin. Whatever this stuff is, it worked on an area of patchy under the skin breakouts and redness on my chin that would NOT go away with my usual methods. Trust me when I say I was desperate, so I rubbed a thin layer of this on and the next morning it was just about completely GONE. Thinking this might be a fluke, I tried it later on some other areas with similar results. It seems to work best on things that are already bad. I am still experimenting with using it preventively. I would recommend this pricier organic version because its going on your face and you probably already put enough stuff on your body that is not great for you. It does seem to be a good product. It comes with a glass dropper and a drop or two is all you need, meaning one bottle will last a long time.I had NEVER heard of this oil before, and in fact read about it here for the frist time, and given how well it worked on that troublesome area on my odd skin, I think anyone with rosacea should absolutely try this. I also recommend trying it on different areas of the face for different kinds of breakouts. You might find it works better for some things than others.

Skin healing
Started Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil (SBSO) on Oct. 30, 2024. I've been using it at least twice per day. I stopped using some other products because SBSO has so many good things in it for skin. It has helped me to have a more simple, natural skincare. While I appreciate the glass bottle, I'm not used to dropper bottles - haven't quite got that down and comfortable - so I can't say just yet exactly how many drops I need for my face, neck and chest. What I like about this seed oil: The consistency, the feel of it, the light scent. It is only slightly tinted. My skin is softer and looks more even toned.
