Kensington Pro Fit Ergo Vertical Wireless Trackball (K75326WW)

I just bought my 6th one! I've really enjoyed the ease of use of this Trackball. Each new computer gets a new one, and I've eaven gotten my son hooked on them.The buttons are placed perfectly for quick and repetitive use. The design makes it where it fits in my hand perfectly and eases the usual pain I get after working at the computer all day.

I swear by Logitech but also wanted to see what else was out there as I didn't feel like paying over $100 given the use case. I found this for $39.99 and it's been a very good buy for what it is.The mouse is very comfortable to use. I've seen some odd reviews claiming the switching button can easily be mistakenly pressed, but that's impossible if you hold the mouse correctly: fingers over the left and right-click buttons, thumb on the ball or on the ridge to the left of the ball. The right edge of your palm should be resting on the same surface the mouse is on. If you're *gripping* the mouse while using it, of if your thumb is below the left side buttons, or if the weight of your hand is resting on the mouse itself, you're using it wrong.The software isn't as slick as Logitech Options+, but it gets the customization job done. I kept everything stock except the side buttons to the left of the trackball, which I've assigned Page Up and Page Down.The only bad things about this mouse are the 3 second device switching delay and that switching is limited to only 2 Bluetooth devices vs. the 3 that competing Logitech mice support. The 3rd device unfortunately has to be connected via the USB dongle. The device switching delay is mitigated in my case by the fact that although the mouse is paired with 2 laptops, I only ever use it with 1 of them at a time.The trackball itself is about as smooth as I've ever used in a trackball. Which is to say it lacks the precision of an optical mouse but is good enough for productivity.The build quality is a notch below that off Logitech's MX Master series, but MX Master mice also cost over 2X as much. It feels weird only when you try to pick it up, which isn't an issue because as a trackball it's not meant to be picked up in use anyway. Also the buttons aren't silent, but again the only silent mice I've known are MX Masters.Lastly, I appreciate Kensington's decision to go with an AA battery instead of a fancy rechargeable battery that diminishes the entire point of using Bluetooth: to avoid the use of a USB port. Just keep it simple: AA batteries are available everywhere.All in all, this is an excellent product you should choose IF you can get it for 2/3 - due to supporting only 2 Bluetooth devices - or less of the price of a competing Logitech mouse. Based on the MSRP, that should almost always be the case. I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews I read.

This is the only wired thumb trackball mouse that comes close to the original wired Logitech Trackman. I have tried others, and they all have issues -- jerky trackballs and other dealbreakers. This version comes from Kensington, one of the few companies that began selling PC trackball devices over 35 years ago, so they have high credibility.This device works well and supports a better wrist angle than the original Trackman. It has better ergonomics. Hence, it is more like a wired version of the Logitech MX Ergo, which supports a more ergonomic, vertically angled base than the original or the MX570.I was concerned at first because I could "feel" the motion of the trackball more than I was used to feeling it. However, that either disappeared within the first week of usage, or I got used to it. The trackball and pointing are accurate, smooth, and without any jerkiness.If you liked the Logitech Trackman and have been looking for a replacement, this is it. Take it from me, a 20+ year Trackman devotee.
